World Series 2011: Texas vs. St. Louis
In this years fall classic we got the Texas Rangers versus the St. Louis Cardnials. Behind the big bats and a more effective bullpen im predicting the Rangers in 6.

Offensively the Rangers are a powerhouse.
The Cardinals rotation and bullpen better be very good.

Pretty um, even. The tie-breaker for me is that I live in St. Louis, so I'll say them in 7.

The Rangers are the Angels rivals, but bigboy is pro-Cardinals so go Texas!

I hope Rihanna breaks Kemp's heart again and he reverts back to 2010 form.

Normally I'd say something bad about Wil Myers, but I know you're not even high on him anymore.

Young >>>>> Craig (really bigboy? Young had a much better season and has much more pop)
Cruz >>>> Berkman (Berkman's having a great year but Cruz hit 5 HR and 11 RBI in 6 games)
Andrus >> Furcal
Lewis >>>> Garcia (Lewis has some of best postseason stats of recent memory and Garcia is having a **** postseason)
I won't debate the other pitching matchups- but you went through this pretty homerishly. Rangers in 5- their offense will destroy Cards pitching staff. But I've been wrong about every but Tigers beating Yanks so we'll see.

Yeah, you have no idea what you are talking about. Surprised you didn't say Moreland was better than Pujols. That being said the Rangers could win in 5 games, hell the Cards could win in 4.

By that rationale, then Freese >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Beltre, because Freese had an OPS more than 1,000 points higher than Beltre's in the last 6 games.
You are cherry picking jusssst a bit there. In the regular season, Berkman's stats were far better than Cruz's. So for consistency, either Berkman >>> Cruz and Beltre >>> Freese, or Cruz >>> Berkman and Freese >>> Beltre. One way or the other.
cold5 wrote:Young >>>>> Craig (really bigboy? Young had a much better season and has much more pop)
Young and Craig each hit 11 home runs this season. But Young had 631 AB, while Craig had 200. Craig hit a home run about once every 18 ABs, while Young hit a home run about once every 57 ABs. Craig's slugging pct. was .555, Young's was .474. Young might have had the better season--he certainly played more--but Craig has more "pop."
Not that any of it matters much at this point. All that matters is how these guys do in the next few games.
Go Cards!

If the Rangers pitching performs well, then Rangers in 6

Kinsler and Andrus brought it home for the Rangers tonight. Stole one from the Cardinals. 1-1 going to Texas

Eh, the Cardinals have come back from worse losses than that one. It was a bad loss, but the series is tied 1-1 with a long way to go.
Go Cards!
