TFC up 1-0 at the half over FC Dallas.

I'm nervous as both teams look good and have had plenty of chances. It's been a very open game.

TORONTO WINS!!! I am so flippin' excited!

Joao Plata had the game of his life, two goals and one assist. Koevermans, Frings and de Guzman all played well and we are moving on to the Championship Round!!

5 long years of horrible football and horrible games, it's all been worth it to watch tonight's game! I can't wait for March!

I really hope yellow cards get re-set for the next round, I should check into that.

Maybe not, but I saw a totally different team out on the field. The movement without the ball was working, the long run from Plata was giving Dallas fits and the Defense finally worked together moving up the field as one.

The only thing I could have asked for was a few more clean passes to Koevermans. He was working hard all night and should be given more opportunities.

It would be great to see four MLS teams move on to the next round.

So Toronto and Seattle are through. LA and Colorado can go through with wins tonight, correct?

That's correct.

On the next match day (October 20), if Los Angeles defeats Motagua, Los Angeles will advance as group winners and Morelia as runners-up. Otherwise, Alajuelense will qualify as group winners, and Morelia as runners-up.

Colorado Rapids will advance to the quarterfinals if they defeat Santos Laguna or Isidro Metapan and Real España draw

Looks like Colorado is out unless Isidro Metapan and Real España draw.

All four Mexican teams advanced to the knockout stage for the fourth consecutive year. 4 MLS teams could be joining them if LA wins and the other games ties.

L.A makes it to the next round with a 1-0 win last.

Three MLS teams moving on is pretty good.

Champions League Draw Next Tuesday

CONCACAF announced Tuesday that the draw for the 2011/12 Champions League Championship Round will be conducted November 8 at the confederation's New York headquarters.

The draw will set pairings for the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Each match-up throughout the remainder of the competition will be contested over two legs.

The first-leg quarterfinal games will be played March 6-8 with second legs being completed March 13-15. Group Stage winners will be paired against Group Stage runners-up. Teams that played in the same group may not be drawn against one another, however, a team may be drawn against another team from its own country . The runners-up will host the first leg.

The four group winners are the LA Galaxy (USA), Santos Laguna (Mexico), Pumas UNAM (Mexico) and last-year's champion, Monterrey (Mexico). The runners-up, each advancing to the knock-out stages for the first-time, are Morelia (Mexico), Toronto FC (Canada), Isidro Metapan (El Salvador) and the Seattle Sounders (USA).

First leg semifinal games will be played March 27-29, while second leg matches will take place April 3-5.

The first leg of the finals will be played between April 17-19 and the second leg April 24-26.
