i think we should aim higher (or lower, as it were) and see if we can pull off a plus 200 goal differential in league 2.

who's with me?

The fans singing 'We're staying up' after the Bolton win was brilliant.

To win anything we need vermaelen, wilshere, szczesny, sagna and robin fit; we probably need to spend our £50m profit on a creative player too. But before that we need basic defensive stability and confidence, and no lineup change will provide it.

I watched it. He had some flashes but was largely a non-factor in the game. ASQOC looked good though.

Vermaelan signs a long term contract, great news. Now hopefully he can put his injuries behind him, I'm eager to see him and Mertesacker together.

I really hoping RVP signs soon too, I doubt anything will happen till the summer, but it'll be irritating hearing all the rumours until something does happen.

My concern with TV and mert playing together is that they're too similar. Mert was signed to fill TV's injury absence I think.

Wenger will never do it, but i think with TV back and Sagna out i'd play TV-Kos-Mert as a back three and push santos and jenkinson forward. Brings out the best in RVP too i think.

I don't think they're too similar at all, their styles are complimentary. TV is more like Kos, aggressive to the ball, first out to tackle. While Mert is the stay at home sort of CB, play the passing lanes, last line of defense. Both are great in the air so it'll be interesting to see what it does for our set piece defense, as well.

I'll have to watch them closely to check, but i had kos and mert the other way round.

I've been lucky lately, I work Saturdays, so unless it's an early kickoff I miss it. But, we've been playing Sunday's, so I've caught every game recently.

I play Sunday mornings, so yeah. I haven't watched a live Arsenal game in a while.

Kos has really been playing well these past few weeks. I imagine he'll move out to RB when Vermaelan comes back. He does seem a better fit an Djourou out right, he's quicker, more aggressive, and has a better work rate.

He's up there with Ramsey, Gervinho, and RvP for MotM for me. Ramsey was fantastic today, best performance of the season, same with Gervinho. Team looks like it's coming together after the early growin pains.

Would still like to see a new striker brought in in January. Showed just how toothless we are in attack without RvP up front today. Chamakh hasn't really played much, but he inspires little confidence, and has completely lost his form since his start, last season. Almost a year since he scored an EPL goal. Would also like another midfielder brought in, preferably Hazard or Gotze. :)

Agree we need a striker. We also need to make a big signing to send the message to RVP et al that we're still legit. Hazard would be my choice as well, though i'd play him at wide forward.

Hazard would do well because he can play both outside, or as an advanced midfielder.

The position doesn't bother me too much but we need an injection of creative quality
