Trade possibility

Post#1 » by dukeknicksirish » Wed Oct 19, 2011 10:08 pm

Would you guys be interested in trading your number 2 pick, Derrick Williams, for the possibility of getting a Center in the 2012 draft?

(Minni Out: Derrick Williams)
(Minni In: Minny 2012 1st rd pick)
5.Drummond
4.Love
3.Beasly
2.Wesly
1.Rubio

(LAC Out: Minny 1st rd pick)
(LAC In: Derrick Williams)
5.DeAndre
4.Griffin
3.Derrick
2.Gordon
1.Mo/Eric

Win, Win for both teams IMO thoughts?

I don't think I could. I would much rather pay DeAndre Jordan and flip Beasley + Webster for Iguodala.

Jordan
Love
Williams
Iguodala
Rubio

No thanks. I'm looking forward to a season where losing gains nothing.

I wouldn't be interested because it would encourage losing and punish improvement/winning.

The trade would cause us to likely lose Kevin Love.

I would trade him for Andre Drummond or Harris Barnes, but I wouldn't trade him for a mere % chance at getting one of the two.

I might trade him for Drummond but until that pick is ACTUALLY Drummond and not just the chance at him, no deal

I'd rather see Williams in action and see the team under Adelman before making any trades.

This trade was mention a couple times around the draft. I thought it was dumb then, but the possibility of Drummond entering the draft changes it a little. I still wouldn't do it, but Drummond increases the potential upside of a trade like this.
