GM A Team 02/03 Edition Pre Game

Congrats to the winner of the last game. Thanks for commishing BabyJacks.

Before we start some quick questions.

I think that we can start soon, maybe with 20 GMs?

Right now, 6 GMs have said they would take 2 teams. So I say, we fill up each team then go, depending on how many GMs that actually is.

Which is 21 teams. So I think just filling up the teams (8 more, maybe some GMs with 2 teams, depending what they put) would be a good idea, because then no one has to take 2 that doesn't want to

Could we possibly start today? I think we have enough teams (21) to have a reasonable game and spots can fill as we go along. Selfish on my end, but I have the week off starting from yesterday and will be much busier next week. Plus I don't see the point in waiting any longer. Curious to see what others think.

I would like to start now as well. In addition, let's see if some of the other GMs will take on a second team and maybe blend in a second contraction draft with any unassigned teams. Those rosters could be added in one round draft and the best players would be distributed among the participating teams. Might be an interesting twist. (Also - current CBA and No direct trades on 2 controlled teams - those who can only take one team would be penalized if we can just move players between one GM).

I think, we should wait for everyone to fill in. Playing with 29 GM's is better than playing with 21 GM's

I like what Kees said, i also like the idea of trading between same GM's team. It is allowed, but only in 3 way deal. Nice

That said, i could start with 2 teams, but also i would be willing to give away one team in case, somebody wants to join the game later and there are no teams left. I'm not the fan of playing with 2 teams, but it's not very bad either. Also, it would fasten the process of collecting the GM's.

so 22 teams can be taken with 6 gms taking two teams. Im thinking we do weighted lotto today but dont post team assignments weighted lotto means your first choice gets six pieces of paper in hat second five on down when multiple people want a team like lakers

That makes 23. Maybe more if some people are willing to take 2 for now. I am also very, very ready to start. I've been waiting for this game for like 2 months haha

I'm not overly crazy about the double gm duty for others, and definitely don't want the conflicts myself.

Cellar you didn't list your preference for teams. Just a friendly reminder to do so unless you don't mind what team you get.

Also rr9 wants Denver as his 2nd team.

Doesn't matter to me. Though I really don't feel like taking Memphis' awful team without their own 1st rounder this year.

Good lord, Detroit with that first is going to be a nightmare, lol.

So let's say my anti-list is Memphis, and my list is whoever else.

Will be doing the team lotto for teams with multiple suitors. Please list your team choices in order of preference. The way the lotto will be done 6 slips paper first team listed to 1 for last team listed.

^I think they listed them already. Some (Like me and BI) put our top three, then 'any' for the 2nd, because our 2nd team can be any, because there were some teams that aren't very popular

Too few GM's IMO. I don't personally have time or inclination to run a 2nd team right now.
