probably applies more to players than owners, don't think many owners consider their NBA franchise their primary occupation and/or main source of income.

On the other hand you've got the players, many who are simply using the only tangible skill they maintain a nice living standard yrs after they've retired from the NBA. I don't blame them for what they're doing.

White collar just means anyone in an office type job. Blue collar is more your manual laborer types - cleaners, factory workers etc. Associating it with a smart criminal just shows that your education came via TV rather than school.

Please explain how any of this is similar to insider trading?

I think it's interesting the pro players side shows solidarity for the players as if they are an underpaid and overworked blue collar group that'd being taken advantage of by the evil white collar owners who just sit on their asses all day collecting checks. As if the players are not in the top 1% themselves. Please. Both sides are negotiating to put more $ in their own pockets, period.
