Re: NFL Week 7 Thread
Some tough games to pick. It is a pretty blah week, I agree.
Two prop bets I like:
which team wins by more, New Orleans or Dallas
and
which team wins by more, Green Bay or Baltimore
I had both lines for BAL/JAX and GB/MIN mentally penciled in at -10.5, surprised both were so low. Rookie QBs making starts against aggressive defenses that thrive at forcing turnovers. I'd probably give 13.5 on both and still feel good about taking the favorites.

It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

I don't think I want to witness the Pack-Vikes game. That one is going to be ugly for the purple.

There is not enough money to prevent me from taking GB in that game. Holy crap +9? Against Ponder?

id take nawlins and green bay. since garrett's taken over, aside from his 1st 2 games every game has been decided by 4 points or less

Sure you don't wanna take Jax straight up against the Ravens?

I would never bet against the ravens.
Call me insane but i am really thinking about putting some money on the colts.
I don't just put money on teams. I analyze the match-ups.
My "betting" history:
Won: 13'420 (incl. taxes) Lost: 10'550
I am really not that bad.

Carson Palmer is expected to start Sunday's game against the Chiefs, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
So much for easing a guy in. The Raiders gave up a king's ransom for Palmer and understandably want him on the field immediately. Given Palmer's high football IQ, grasping the playbook shouldn't be a major stumbling block. However, we'd expect a run-heavy approach against the Chiefs, capping Palmer's fantasy upside as a low-end QB2. Darrius Heyward-Bey and Denarius Moore are at least desperation options now -- they would have been completely off the radar if Kyle Boller was the starter.

Re: NFL Week 7 Thread
I see Julio Jones is still missing practices. I'm not very positive that he's going to be able to return this week against Detroit, but the Falcons could really use him, so I hope he proves me wrong.
Sam Bradford is now listed as doubtful. A.J. Feeley would start in his place, not good for STL.
Mike Wallace looks like a go for the Steelers against the Cards.

Re: NFL Week 7 Thread
I'm currently sitting 7th out of about 100 in my confidence pool. This is the kind of week that can change the outcome of the league, as just about everyone will put 13-10 points on GB, NO, Balt, and Dallas. The rest of the spreads are really small and hard to figure out.
My winners:
Sunday, October 23
N.Y. Jets
Miami
Cleveland
Detroit
Carolina
Chicago
Tennessee
Pittsburgh
Kansas City
Green Bay
Dallas
New Orleans
Baltimore

Man, so many injuries. Now Graham is hurt too. I've lost him, Blount, Felix Jones, Jamaal Charles and until this week Gates so far this season on one of my teams.
Weak.
Weak.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

They're dominating. I thought the titans could at least put up a fight.
