My God, Flacco looks awful tonight.

I think Rice was down just now, if not, it's going to be his second fumble tonight.

Re: NFL Week 7 Thread
What does Gabbert do well that was supposed to get him drafted high? I was very confused with him as a prospect and thought he looked like your typical 3rd/4th rounder.
He has no pocket awareness, theres nothing special about his arm or accuracy, hes not a great athlete.....
Hes mediocre in every way.

Jacksonville has another game at home for MNF later this season. What the heck were these schedulers thinking?

I don't know...that game in Tennessee was pretty good for me.

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I think he goes 30 spots lower if he doesn't have a cool name

Sure you don't wanna take Jax straight up against the Ravens?
I would never bet against the ravens.
Maybe you should have anyways

Tebow would have made that drive

What a terrible week. I somehow just scraped by in Fantasy despite a 20 point lead and having Ray Rice and Cundiff on my team.
Oh and Flacco? Your terrible.

Gabbert's best attribute is his hair. I'm completely envious of his flowing blond locks. If I had hair like that my wife wouldn't be able to keep her hands off me.
And Joe Flacco still sucks. He is Vinny Green Balls II.

And so many of the experts at ESPN thought Gabbert was far ahead of Newton as a QB prospect. In fact, the only college QB who was near ready for the NFL game.

I'll defend Mel Kiper here. He liked Gabbert but he said he needs to sit at least a year to mentally mature and learn to read defenses. I thought much the same. I still like Gabbert going forward but he's got a long way to go.
I do take personal satisfaction that I was an early believer in Newton

If you had hair like that, you might be too overrun with offers to "trim some hedges"

Gabbert has the arm, but he's still a long ways as far as pocket presence is concerned. He already shows good anticipation, throwing receivers open (unfortunately, our receivers can't catch a cold even if they were to run through Chicago in the winter buck naked).

I have a gut feeling the Browns pull off a big upset at San Francisco next weekend. Alex Smith is due for a terrible game.

It's certainly possible with the Niners coming off a bye and having won 4 straight games, although I doubt it. If the Browns play like they did against Seattle, it's going to be a big win for San Fran.

Re: NFL Week 7 Thread
Yeah, I think they'll handle business here in a big way. I'd be more concerned about the Niners heading to Washington next week for an early game. With a home game against the Giants (about to be 5-2 and still atop the NFC East) the week after to look forward to, that one feels like a classic letdown game.
