Well that was silly. I think the Tebow question at QB has been officially answered

Re: Game -8 Detroit @ Denver 4:05 kick off
Well Denver has a terrible OL and very weak RBs/WRs/TEs, that you can't expect any QB to be successful on that team. They need help at every position on offense. They need a stud franchise QB, a franchise stud WR, a franchise stud RB, a stud TE, a stud OT, a stud OG, and a new Center. They are only 7 players away from being a really good offense. Oh and they have a laundry list of defensive needs too. What the hell are they doing and thinking about over there? It should be impossible to not have at least one position locked down, but by golly Denver has found a way.
Also, now that we have won, PHI emerging from their 2 win total is less risky, so it's mathematically to our advantage in a very slight way to see them beat Dallas, and that's partly due to because PHI has played one more NFC game than Dallas and has less conference wins, so we should be rooting for Philly to win tonight for a small extra edge. That would make Chicago the greatest WC competition for us and a win against them in our next game would be a monster boost to securing our playoff rights. All of the teams that are eligible as WC threats play each other a lot in addition to tough schedules.

Re: Game -8 Detroit @ Denver 4:05 kick off
^ They have the LB position locked up in Von Miller besides that they don't have any true building blocks. Even with how terrible Tebow's OL and teammates were, he was still making horrible mistakes. The way he throws and where he puts the ball for his receivers are just awful. I was neutral about Tebow as a starting QB but now i just don't see how any team could succeed with him at center.

They have the OLB position secured, but they have junk inside. So the positional group is not locked down.

Of course not the group. Von Miller is their only building block.

Yeah amazing that they were able to land a good young keeper by spending the #2 overall pick. If only they had the first 10 picks of next year's draft, they could really look like geniuses then by plugging all the wisest holes. That's what it would take for them to be able to figure this crap out. You just need infinite picks if you aren't going to do things the intelligent way.

Re: Game -8 Detroit @ Denver 4:05 kick off
I'll take just about anybody cause I think Buckley and Rashied are completely wasting 2 roster spots. Even if the players are inactive there is still value to get out of holding a possibly useful player just so that another team can't have them, or so you have depth in case of an injury, or so that you have a darkhorse sleeper to possibly get a chance to prove he's worth a roster spot in the future or to use as future trade material. So I don't know if Tashard Choice is good enough compared to other RBs out there, but he's definitely a lot more intriguing than continuing to hold Rashied and Buckley, especially considering we keep suiting Buckley up on game day as one of our 46 active players which is ridiculous. Although having Rashied is probably more ridiculous, cause we are wasting a roster spot on him and not even using him in the games. What is he for, to save for next year? Frak that.

Re: Game -8 Detroit @ Denver 4:05 kick off
Aaron Brown, plus any of the RBs on the Practice Squad lists. There might be a couple of guys on the street too that are worth gambling on moreso than Buckley and Rashied, like Tristan Davis just to name one. He had 12 carries for a 6.0 avg this preseason, and 7 carries for a 16.3 average with us 2 years before that. He just seemed like a guy that had a knack for making plays and had a lot of passion. Maybe he would have amounted to nothing, but to me it's not right to cut a guy who shows promise and has done nothing to deserve losing their job for guys that are clearly worthless which is what I think of Buckley and Rashied, both of whom have made several terrible plays, something I have not seen Tristan do once, so he should be higher in the pecking order.
Although my strategy of roster design is such that I think by now we should be overloaded with 3+ quality RBs by now that we can't even afford low profile sleepers like that, but we haven't been doing a good job for so long that now we can afford to take chances like that because we have so many open spots that shouldn't be open by now.

Re: Game -8 Detroit @ Denver 4:05 kick off
Choice is hurt and fumbles all the time, I'll pass.
Thoughts from the game:
--nice to see a dominating win against an inferior opponent. That's what good teams do.
--Stafford had the bounce back in his step and the life in his arm. Good mechanics, strong delivery. Nice to see him get back to basics.
--Cliff Avril was a freaking monster.
--the secondary was not good. A better QB than Tebow (i.e. pretty much anyone) would have put up at least two TD throws on the weak outside-the-numbers coverage. Delmas continues to struggle in coverage.
--pass protection was improved, I thought the right side of the line played their best game since KC.
--I like how both Morris and Williams attack the hole. Neither is a very good RB but at least they run north and south. That helps the linemen, who love that style.

It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Hey Ice,
I got a question for you that has bothered me since draft night. Where exactly did you see Tebow going? I'm wondering if someone else wanted Timmy or if McDaniels or whoever it was just reached for the hell of it.
