Good luck. Focus, throw yourself into the workouts, don't cheat, and you'll be very happy.

Wasn't able to do all four sets, the pushups/burpees killed me. That's going to be the toughest go in that workout.

It's so hard to breathe well when you're doing burpees.

I've worn out my running shoes running on concrete towards the lake in Milwaukee/Racine. Anyone have any suggestions for trail running, or places with good hills?

You can run in the grass alongside the Oak Leaf Trail. That will only work until the snow starts falling though.

Speaking of running, I did 3.42 miles in 27 minutes today. 4 miles in 30 minutes is in sight.

I've been focusing on getting my diet built around 0 sugar, 0 carbs and minimal calories and has been very effective for my abs. I still add a creatine and 0 carb protein and combined with weights and basketball, I've been very pleased with my progress.

Check that. I think I'm just gonna do it every day. Maybe not four reps, but at least two.

Yea it was just the first couple times I went through it that I felt like a bucket of ass in the following days. Now that the muscles have been worked out I've got one of those good sores going.

Try doing one circuit (8 sets) with all burpees (with a pushup at the bottom and a jump at the top).

That sounds lame.

I can barely do 30 seconds of burpees. :P

Breathing is the hardest part. When you bring your knees up to your chest and explode up into the jump, there's a pretty long stretch where it's mechanically difficult to inhale. Between the energy you need to do the exercise and the tricky rhythm of breathing required, burpees get you into oxygen deficit like no other.

For someone looking for a great pre workout supp. Jak3d just released a new green apple flavor exclusive to GNC. A portion of each purchase helps wounde soldiers as well. I've tried multiple pre workout drinks an this stuff is legit.

We used to do a similar circuit to that in the most insane workout program I've ever done, Renegade, in HS. After coming to school at 5:30 or 6 AM and doing a ton of lifting that focused on speed/explosion, and then after school doing all sorts of build up sprints and burst type sprints, ab work....we still did a continuous circuit with normally 4 movements in the jumping jacks, shuffle splits, burpees, etc. realm 30 seconds/each 10 times through, no rest on 2/3 of the day. You'd be begging for boot camp sometimes in these.

I'm a bit squeamish on supplements. I know many are probably healthy, but I have a hard time dabbling past whey protein.

What the hell does a pre-workout supplement do? Just give you more energy?

i read all about it when i started using creatine, but i think in very general terms. creatine creates more of something that your body burns while excercising, so you can just do it longer. i was skeptical at first but literally after a couple of times using it, i could do noticeably more reps. i was pretty shocked.

Scored a goal last game. Didn't think i was gaining much fitness but we didn't have a bench last game, it was an intense game and i only got tired right at the end.

nice,

i scored 1 too, a volley off a nice chip pass. we were up 6-1 at the half and then could only manage a draw. my touch is getting better just from having the ball so much.
