Rogers playing like a dirtbag so far. It's too bad Marquez got suspended for the rest of the playoffs. Red Bulls might have a chance to win it all now

Re: The Official Major League Soccer Thread
surprised Backe chose to put in Auvray instead of Ballouchy...can't say I agree with that move.
Dane Richards shouldn't even bother being in the box defending a corner kick.
Would like to see some Agudelo sooner than later in the 2nd half.

RSL vs LA Galaxy for the west....should be a great match
Houston vs Sporting KC for east...I'm surprised Houston made it this far but this game could go either way

Fun game, too bad for RSL that LA won, but the better team that night won the game.
Rodgers sure would feel like an idiot if that girl didn't see that ball coming and it broke her neck. Wow what a stupid move by Rodgers!
I was impressed with LA's constant running up to mark the guy with the ball, even towards the tired, end of the match, time. The goal NY got was a result of two of those things not happening correctly on the same play and NY scored.

Why are these games not on Saturday?
MLS shouldn't be competing with the NFL.

because ESPN can't broadcast them Saturday with college football all day long. Yeah it's gonna be on the same time as some NFL games but it's better than being banished to FSC

Re: The Official Major League Soccer Thread
My prediction: If Olave and Borchards both play for RSL they win 1-0 if not I would say LA wins 3-1
Beckerman vs Beckham: Beckerman will be trying to stop Beckham's pin point exact crosses and this will be giving RSL fits. Beckerman as the defensive mid will be trying to read the field and stop these, Beckerman is awesome at seeing the field. This will also be something to watch. Olave's speed will also be much needed here and if Olave is playing it will stop the scores from LA
If RSL goes into a defensive mode thinking they can hold off LA after an early goal, it won't happen. LA is too good and RSL's strength is not in a defensive game. RSL will need to go on the attack always trying to move the ball maintaining possession. Clearing the ball and giving it over to the other team time and time again will give LA a chance to score and they will.
RSL is unstoppable when they constantly maintain the ball, wearing down the other team and never giving them opportunities. (much like running the ball in American football the NFL, taking time of the clock)

I really didn't see them beating Sporting KC, Houston played one hell of a game.
