A's ~ Mets

Post#1 » by FNQ » Sun May 20, 2007 1:30 am

Mets get:

Rich Harden
JD Closser

A's get:

Lastings Milledge
Aaron Heilman
Kevin Mulvey

I think the reasons for both teams are pretty obvious... Mets could sure use an ace pitcher for the playoffs, and the A's need to start getting some hitters and middle relievers on their team. A's fans have already begun to weigh in on our own board, what are the thoughts of other fans?

Take out Mulvey and take another pitching prospect and I would do it.

hell yeah, instantly.

I know harden is injury prone but he is only 25 and when he is healthy, he's an ace pitcher.

I would not trade Harden unless the deal is really awesome. The A's farms are generally effective and there's other moves that can get a decent bat.

Mets win in that deal. I wouldn't do if I'm Oakland. Heilamn has looked suspect at times this season and the fact that Gomez is up when Alou and Green went down doesn't sound right for Milledge. I don't know the reason for Gomez getting the call but does that mean that Lastings took a step back.

Although Rich Harden is a stud and no# 1 pitcher. I wouldn't trade for him, cuz he is always injured.
