Mods, please leave this up during the game.

I just want to point people to the other thread so maybe we can get a game time thread going.
LyricalRico has started a game thread over there.

Not like we are having our normal NBA ones right now. I think we have room on the board for this thread for a few hours.

Thanks in advance.

So if you are a Skins fan, this is a really big game. Come on over an complain or celebrate as a game develops.

I hate posting on the NFL thread. Almost NOBODY uses it.

What I have to say about the Redskins is Mike Shanahan is not the answer but he is definitely to blame for a great deal. He's more problem than solution.

--I took Albert Haynesworth's side from the very beginning. Shanahan confronted him about conditioning early. He made the guy pass a really demeaning run that no linemen have to pass. The coach showed pettiness and a lack of respect for the team members, IMO. He didn't win anything before coming in like a lion.
--Who brought Donovan McNabb in? Who turned on his QB, publicly?
--Who put his reputation on Rex Grossman as a competent starter?
--Who else thought John Beck was a competent backup?
--Can this coach rip the offensive coordinator the way he has others? NO, because Kyle is his son.

The guy who has really screwed things up is Dan Snyder. All the wrong moves from this owner. He continually goes for big names and past achievements, while ignoring the fact that most of his hires are people who are past their prime and very pricey. Snyder will pay to get a winner, but I wish he looked at the trend of successful young coaches and players. The game evolves and the younger coaching staffs are ready to grow with it.

Last, about Shanahan: He's no better than Zorn.

--Jim Zorn went 8-8 and then 4-12. His 12-20 is not looking so bad right now.

--Shanny went 6-10 and after this loss to SF, 3-5. He is 9-15.

Both guys are at .375 in terms of winning. 37.5% winning percentage.

Only, I liked Zorn better than Shanahan.

Well at least Beck gives a better positive post game interview. That is progress.

I just can't believe Armstrong has fallen off this much this quick. Why can't they get the ball to Armstrong more. The guy was a beast last year.

I posted before Beck led the late TD, hands.

Beck might not be all that bad--I just don't care for either Shanahan.
