photos of some of the players.

from the look of the stands, more people showed up for the RMR (when it was here) to watch dudes trying out to be pro, then legitimate pro's tonight. probably more of a statement of what the lockout has done, then of the local commitment to pro ball.

anyway, starting now!

That is unwatchable. Hopefully it's better in person for those who shelled out $$$.

Is it just me, or does Al look like he is in great shape?

man it was a great game. Burks is pretty solid from three. Too bad Kanter had to leave. Evans and favors also had great dunks.

It was not a great game to watch. Would have been nice to see the player realize that people didn't shell out that much cash to watch a loosey goosey **** around affair.

Still, getting to see Kanter, Favors and Burks up close and personal was worth it. All were impressive. Even Enes in the short time he had on the floor.

I completely disagree. People didnt pay for an offseason charity game to see defense.

I took it for what it was and had a great time.

I only watched the first half, but a few notes:

Al looked noticeably trim compared to last year. He had a lot better lift and mobility, he looks ready to slide into Boozer's old pick and role game.

Millsap has worked on his ball-handling, he got to the middle a few times and seemed really fast.

Miles didn't shoot well, nothing to see there.

Watson played well, as usual, would like to see him back and I think it is clear he wants to return.

Devin Harris is still freakishly quick. If he continues his shooting from last year he'll be very good a point guard for us.

Kanter still needs work finishing with his left hand, but he has the post moves to get open looks with it.

Favors and Evans are unbelievable athletes (Price is too, but he was unimpressive in other aspects).

Hopefully someone has more detailed reports....Jimmer looked very good too, for what it's worth.

Everyone who is complaining about this game really needs to just chill to **** out. It was such a fun atmosphere and was a great time all around for everyone. If you're complaining about this game... SMFH. You're probably that loser who told me to sit down even though there was still 15 minutes before the game started.

Evans is a freak. Simple as that. The Jazz have to find a way to play him or they need to trade him. Simple as that. He needs to be in the dunk contest. His hops are just incredible. Very exciting player to watch and provided a lot of "Holy ****!!!" moments throughout the game. He is going to be a human highlight reel if he gets much playing time. Got dunked on twice though by Jefferson and Favors, both of which he he clearly couldn't guard in the post.

Favors looked awesome. The biggest difference was his confidence. He was just oozing with confidence compared to how he was last year. He didn't even seem like the same guy anymore, he looked and acted like a player who belonged in the league. I'm super excited to see him play this next season, I'm expecting a break out year for him. Had a nasty dunk on Evans

Jefferson looked like he was in much better shape. He didn't play much though so nothing to report outside of that. Had a nasty dunk on Evans.

Burks put on a show. There is no doubt that he is extremely talented on the offensive end but as good as he is on offense, he is that bad on defense. I understand its a charity game, but it was clear that he doesn't have any D fundamentals nor a desire to play much D. That's something that's going to have to change or he won't see much PT.

Price was just fun to watch. Its easy to see why the Jazz keep bringing him back, he's a great chemistry guy.

Kanter... well he took one to the chops and started bleeding a fountain before he could do anything. Didn't get to see enough to make any judgements.

Watson was Watson. The Jazz need to re-sign him. Solid and fits well with everyone.

Harris was Harris. His shot kinda stinks.

Miles looked and played more athletic than I've ever seen him before. His shot was way off though. Not much that could be taken from the game about him other than he can get up much better.

Millsap didn't really do much. Nothing really to judge about him. He looked like he was in great shape though.

Jimmer looked great. He doesn't look like a rookie when he's out there with all those guys, he has a veteran aura about him. Silky smooth and very crafty. His shot was off but it was clear that he's going to be just fine at the NBA level. I've never understood how people thought he was going to be a bust... I still don't.

Curry was Curry. Clearly one of the best up and comers in the NBA. His shot is deadly, his handles are amazing and he has amazing court vision. Really great guy too. Seemed to have a lot of fun and interacted with the fans a lot.

Matthews... well, its not hard to remember why we loved him so much. Great player, even better person. Its really a shame we couldn't keep him... and yes, I know we've all heard that a million times but he is literally perfect for the team we have. He gets along with the other Jazz players so well and he's just that perfect kind of tough player that we need. He's going to have another awesome season.

Billups and the rest (C-Mags, AT) were just there to play and have a good time. I was really impressed with how Billups took the lead in things with the make-a-wish people that they brought over to meet the players and he even led all the players out to interact with the special Olympic basketball teams that played at half time. He really is a great guy and doesn't get enough credit for it. AT just had fun and messed around most of the time, dito for C-Mags.

Millsaps' brother was there and played. He was decent. Will probably get another camp invite like he always does.

BTW, don't ever tell me or anyone else to sit down at a basketball game. Either you stand up or buy better seats next time. You may not have paid to stand up but I didn't pay to sit down nor to be told to sit down by some stuck up prick who has probably never even played basketball. Basketball is a game that's suppose to get you up and out of your seat so stop complaining.
