Any Word on Darko this off-season?

Post#1 » by jinxed » Thu Nov 10, 2011 5:09 pm

Haven't heard anything on him...is he training hard? Laying around...getting drunk?

I hope the man is putting in the work!

Didn't someone say in another thread he saw him in his hometown Novi Sad? Other than that I haven't heard anything from him.

He's probably working hard on his diaper changing skills after becoming father just like Ridnour.

I heard Luke's wife only calls him Cool Hand Luke these days because he's become a master.
Originally, Darko and Luke wanted to bring their kids to training camp and then battle who can change diapers faster.

I really hope Darko has been practicing (of course I understand he also just had a kid, but still there should be time for both). I wonder if he will be planning on coming back at some point to practice with the team, or even play in some pick up games against other pros...Darko seems like he needs to play more "5 on 5" basketball, even Kahn noted that at the end of last season.

Does anyone else worry that Darko is just sitting around and if he starts playing poorly whenever the season does start we'll get an article with quotes from Darko along the lines of "it was tough with the lockout, not knowing when we'd play again." and essentially insinuating he'll need one MORE season to get comfortable.

(I hope I'm wrong, big darko fan!)
