Bret Bielema has got to fire himself. We get dominated on special teams every week.

Edit: I guess he doesn't run them anymore. Instead he splits the duties. He needs to hire one coach to focus specifically on special teams because obviously the current way isn't working.

And once again a botched special teams play leads to a change in the momentum. Does he not see the impetus to focus more on that unit?

We needed that to turn the momentum. Got a little lucky that Gray floated the interception. Now they can't allow good field position and in turn a score here, and they'll be in great shape in the 2nd half.

I used to have real doubts about Bielema as a head coach and the timeouts fiasco vs MSU irritated me for days, but overall i think the program is in good hands with Bielema.

That said, they haven't had a special teams coach since he's been head coach. I assumed that many programs didn't pay for a special teams coach, but then i thought back to Alvarez and if my memory is correct, he had a special teams coach names Hayes over a number of years? Either way, do you know if most BSC programs have a special teams coach who does just that, or do most programs have a system like Bielema where the ST duties are split up among various coaches?

I was kind of curious so I looked up how Minnesota coach's their special teams. It looks like the D-Backs coach is also the Special Teams Coordinator, it doesn't look like he shares the Special Teams duties.
