I coached a game 2 months ago where those Everblades play. They had a couple jerseys hung up, I didn't think they were serious. I find the Christmas jerseys hilarious, good for them.

Yeah looks like Nickelodeon bought a minor team and marketed a Sponge Bob themed team. What a ulgy jersey.
I don't know what's wrong with The Wings, when we win it's by a wide margin and we get a shutout or allow one goal when we loose we get hammered. Great to see us win and climb a bit in the standings hopefuly we could beat Dallas next and start a roll or last 10 games have been disapointing for me

Canes break their 4 game losing streak, but man do they need help. Skinner playing well with a goal and 2 assists tonight. They really need Eric Staal to start playing like an All Star again. He's been in a drought all season so far.

I can't believe that of all the fan bases not represented on this board yet, a Hurricanes fan emerges. It's pretty impressive.

How much does Tampa miss Mike Smith right now? What a great start to the season.

Wasn't able to watch the Hawks-Oilers game since it was only on local Chicago TV, but it certainly seemed like the entertaining, fast-paced game we figured it would be.

Great win for the Wings...yes it was Raycroft in net for The Stars but a win is still a win
I can't believe how good Jason Pominville has been so far man who would have seen him tied for 3rd in points? Great to see Franzen with 9 goals as well so far and Kronwall stepping it up for us. I have a feeling that the Sharks game on Thursday is going to be a tough task for us. The Sharks are really good when they want to be and bad when they don't play as a team.

I'd be extremely embarrassed to not suspend Lucic if I'm Shanahan. I'd be even more embarrassed if I'm Lindy Ruff and none of my players went after Lucic after the hit. What a disaster of a situation.

Honestly I have no problem with hits like that. It sucks that Miller got hurt, but its a pyshical game.
And I think Buffalo's players did the right thing. Lucic is a beast and he would of just beat the **** out of whoever went after him making the situation far worse. Buffalo will get Boston back later in the season, they might run Thomas or go after Lucic but they'll get them back.
Boston never did anything right after the Savard hit, they got Cooke back a few games later.

I have no problem with hitting a goalie out of the crease, but he went for the head. That I have an issue with.

You have no problem with hits like that? So, you have no problem with a goalie being run while playing the puck? It's a physical game, but there's absolutely no reason why a goalie should be hit. I don't know if you've ever played hockey on a competitive level, but there's a code that goaltender's go untouched, for obvious reasons. Hits like that could've ended his season. I've seen goaltenders sustain serious injuries from being run.
Goalies are not trained or coached to give or receive hits.
How did Buffalo do the right thing by not defending their goaltender? If a goalie get's poked while holding the puck, defenseman rush to their defence. It was a disaster on their part, Lindy Ruff even held a meeting about it.

I have no problem at all with goalies getting hit outside of their crease, inside the crease is a different story. But if the goalie is roaming out of their crease they should be fair game.
Like I said earlier Bostons going to get theirs eventually. They do play again on Feburary 8th and I wouldn't be suprised at all if Thomas or Rask get run in that game.

This. No problem with the hit if he goes low but he clearly goes high towards the head.

This is almost an isolated incident, but with that logic, and if it were acceptable...do you not think 90% of goaltenders would be on the IR right now? It simply doesn't happen. Like I said, it's a mutual respect. Goaltenders are not prepared to get hit, nor are they properly trained to receive one. It's not fair game if they play the puck, nor will it ever be. If the goaltender from the team you follow were knocked out from a hit, I think you'd be singing a different tune.

I'm convinced a Bruin will have to kill someone before they get disciplined by the league.

2 minute unsportsmanlike penalty will be assessed in that situation.

I dunno, I've seen the hit a ton of times and he does bring the elbow in like everyone does before a hit. But to me this is just another situation of a bigger player hitting a smaller one, Lucic is 6'4 every hit he throws looks like its aimed for the head.

No I wouldn't be. Call me old school or whatever you want too but I think goalies should be fair game outside of the crease. I always thought that way, especially before the restricted zone rule.
