Would the Lakers retire his number if he gets in? Personally I dont think so but I guess it could be possible.

How will he even get in? He doesn't even have the international resume of a guy like Sabonis.

He's prolly remembered for being on the Sacramento Queens than the Lakers IMO. Maybe he gets in for his international exposure? I don't know, he was a great center but not HOF worthy.

I'll always remember him as a flopping queen first and foremost.

Excellent vision for a player in general on the court, though.

He should be inducted to the Lakers HOF for that tip to Horry when he was with the Kings ; )

Maybe Vlade didn't have HOF numbers but his impact on getting Europe into basketball was enormous.

Unfortunately I didn't follow the NBA when he was a Laker and also remember him primarily as a Kings player, but either way I don't think he necessarily deserves a HoF spot. I would rather retire a guy like Fisher's number than Vlade's.

Although, the tip (thanks for the reminder Leor, I still get goosebumps watching that) and landing us Kobe Bryant are pretty good arguments.
