Just found the boxscores for the first 3 games for Kevin in Euroleague. Pretty impressive and some good signs of growth. Most notably I like to see that his minutes have gone up each game and that his FT shooting is really good, on a limited number of attempts. Shooting 7/8 in the last game has to make you think that is getting really good position inside, would love to find some highlights of this.

Through 3 games:
2011-2012 STATS
PPG: 11.7
RPG: 6
APG: 0
SPG: 0.7
2P%: 65.2%
3P%: 0%
FT%: 83.3%

Good look on the pick and pop. Needs to stick the pick a little more firmly (not shuffle his feet) but nice form, follow-thru and elevation on the jumper:

:o Wow, Kevin stroked that J with confidence, he never would have gotten P&P with the Wiz. Euro-ball has been kind to Kevin.

He understands his role on that team--set picks, roll to the basket, occasionally pop out at the FT line, and move the ef out of the way. He also looks to be in much better conditioning.

We'll see if it translates, but I'm optimistic.

I do not expect the productivity to translate right away -- the gap in competition level is too great. But I am encouraged that he's showing the will to improve and that he is indeed improving. That is as important as anything. He's enough of a physical force and talent that if we works tirelessly, he could be a contributor on a good team within a few years.

They might get worked on defense, but a second line of Vesely, Booker, and Seraphin attacking the basket could be pretty tough, as long as someone on the 2nd unit can hit something (Mack?)

Looking a little more PFish with moves like that.

Finishers. This team needs finishers. So that is good to see.

It looks like they are lining them up though.

Booker can finish with high flying dunks.
McGee can fly also and should get better.
Vesley is all about attacking the rim.
Crawford doesn't mind heading to the basket.
Now if they can add Seraphin to that list.

And cross your finger, what if Nick actually catches on.

This could be a far cry from the teams of the past that just jacked outside shots.

So with Wall going coast to coast with more targets to dish to, they could actually produce some offense and with that I could see them getting teams into foul trouble which I long have believed is the best defense.

It is getting easier to see how they should be able to run on offense and play better D, specially with the addition of Singleton. The last missing pieces to this will be reliable outside shooting beyond Nick, and someone who can reliably close out a game with the ball in hand. That someone being able to FTs also. That could also be Nick with Wall and Crawford sharing the load. Then you have the wild card who is Dray because he can do a little of all of this.

How much everyone have worked on their midrange shooting is going to make a huge difference for this team. Everyone need to be at least a moderate threat to score from 12 ft or else this kind of offense will have a harder time come the playoffs.

I can see a foundation of a team in this group and a style of play that could work for them that can get them out of the gutter and competitive. From there, anything is possible since they are young and have some depth.

One more good draft and the right FA pick up and they could finally get over the hump and be set in the right direction to keep it going for a while.

Wow, he dunked. I've never seen that before. That means he's going to be awesome. He looks like he can fly. Maybe we can try him at SF too.

LOL! I was totally waiting for you to come in and piss on everyone's fun!

In fairness to my man Dat, we're all so basketball starved that we'll make a big deal out of any little old thing. I mean, #2 on that list was none other than Paul Davis. Apparently now that he has a mohawk, he can tomohawk jam.

I gotta agree with Dat's sentiment there. Any mediocre big man with a head of steam should be able to do something like that. Actually, I thought Paul Davis' dunk was much more impressive.

You guys put the fool in tomfoolery.

Sign up Paul Davis now! Imagine how good he could be if he changed to a fro.

I think of the cringe-worthiness of a McGee version of that, and I cringe every time McGee puts the ball on the floor more than 7'1" from the basket. Granted, Seraphin is closer to the floor and no one is covering him, but then he gets decent lift too. Not looking for the next all-star, just a complimentary back up big. On the second look, I still like that clip.

Sorry monte. Officers Dat and Ruzious of the reality police forbade enjoying that clip. Unless a player is a surefire hall of famer, you're not allowed to take pleasure in his success in a non-NBA arena. Carry on.

Fish, you and Monte shall be served with citations for 1 count each of baseless exuberance. If (actually when) found guilty, you shall be sentenced to watch 1 Redskins game - in its entirety - with the sound on.

I'll get time served, because I have to do that a few times a season with my father-in-law anyway, and he's a little hard of hearing, so it's really loud. It's like community service.
