LSU gets #3 Arkansas in Baton Rouge next Saturday. Alabama plays in the Iron Bowl vs. Auburn. And, Ic's underdog, VaTech, gets a challenge in Charlottesville against Virginia who just came off an impressive win in Tally vs. FSU.

So i just learned today that 3 teams from the same conference cannot be in the 5 BCS bowl games. So as it stands now the top 3 teams are from the SEC, if it pans out one of those teams is royally screwed.

Even if Georgia were to upset LSU in the SEC championship game, ESPN's BCS guru, Brad Edwards, said there's still a good possibility that Alabama and LSU would finish 1-2 in the final BCS standings. Under that scenario, three SEC teams would play in BCS bowl games, which is actually allowed under BCS rules. LSU and Alabama would play in the BCS title game, and the Bulldogs would go to the Sugar Bowl as SEC champion.

Playing in the ACC must be great. It's incredible VT is ranked 5th after the schedule they've played.

Yeah I'm not saying VT is the second-best team in the country, or even the 5th best. I just think it should work out that they get a chance to prove they're not.

Houston is ranked 8th but there's not another team ranked in the BCS that I wouldn't favor by at least 14 points over the Cougars. I'm not sure they're going to beat Tulsa this week. They are a lot more like the Hawaii team that Georgia annihilated than the TCU or Boise teams that have won BCS games.

The bowl games as I'd like to see them:
LSU vs. Oklahoma State if they beat Oklahoma, for the BCS title.
VA Tech vs. Alabama if LSU beats Arkansas, or the Razorbacks if they beat LSU
Michigan State/Wisconsin Big 10 winner vs. Stanford
Rutgers vs. Oregon
Stanford vs. Houston
probably impossible though, I can't keep track of all the BCS rules and slotting
