Packers/Lions Lead Up

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Sun Nov 20, 2011 11:26 pm

Lions always seem to play us tough on Thanksgiving. This is going to be a good game, IMO. One of our biggest tests remaining.

Last time we played them on Thanksgiving we beat them 34-12. Don't expect that to happen, just thought it was funny how you said it was a tough game usually and we blew them out a couple years ago.

Not really concerned about the Lions. It might be close, sure, but we win.

I could see us losing this game but other games I thought we could lose we won fairly easily so we'll see. I just don't want Rodgers getting concussed again.

Pretty easy game, Lions are not a good team at all. Only thing that concerns me is Suh trying to hurt Rodgers since he is easily the dirtiest player in the NFL.

I'm just looking at the recent history of the matchups. We barely beat them in 2001, 29-27. We lost in 2003. They came back in 2007 to make it a one score game, and we held on 37-26.

That seems to demonstrate to me that they play us tough on Thanksgiving, despite our win in '09 where they were a 2-14 team.

It will be interesting to see if any team gets serious about giving Jordy some extra attention, or if everybody has just decided that letting him roast one-on-one coverage is still better than giving it to Finley or Jennings.

Asked how he felt now, Neal said: "I feel fine, I feel fine. I'm hungry. That's about all I got for you."

...

Neal played ~20 snaps.

With Neal and the Train of Death getting snaps, I have no worries about detroit.

Someone is going to be left with single coverage every single snap, it really is a matchup nightmare for other teams.

We really are a dome team with our team speed on offense and defemse. We win this more easily than most think IMO.

Neal played 20 snaps? If he did he did nothing, no tackles, no pressures. Raji didn't have a tackle either.

We are great in domes, Lions will be fired up. All signs point to a shootout, watch it be a 13-7 game.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

He had a few pressures, I know he caused Freemen to roll out of the pocket a few times.

He was fine for just coming back from injury.

I don't want it to seem like I'm a Mike Neal apologist but I have to imagine it will take Neal a few games to knock the rust off. The fact he played 20 snaps without re-injuring himself in his first game back is good enough for me.
