You forget one thing ... "SHOW ME THE MONEY". Nash left Dallas because Cuban wouldn't do it. Amare left Phoenix because Sarver wouldn't do it. When it all boils down to it the NBA players just want to be paid the big bucks. Would it be easier if Sarver didn't own the team. Hell yeah. But players follow the smell of money until they get too old and then they chase rings.

Cuban.....Sarver...... Yup, its the owners, not the GM's. :D

As for the smell of money, didnt Lebron/Wade/Bosh/Melo all take less $$$$ to go to a team that had a better chance at winning? Those are all players in their PRIME, not at the end of their career. Hell, NJ could offer D-Will the most money, but does he want to play there? I guess we will find out next season.

Even with a superstar like CP3, we wouldn't be much better than we are with Nash. We just don't have anyone dangerous outside of star PG that could make things happen ont he court. It's a shame that our crap season has been capped off with a lockout that could essentially mean we've seen the last of Nash in a Sun's jersey, but that's where we're at right now. With no real prospects, assets or supportive owner, it would be tough to see a bleaker future.
