GREAT move.
The kid's a AAAA player, but it usually takes a couple years for a player to mature beyond AAA into becoming a MLB player. I dont think Linden will ever be a star, or anything more than a solid starter, but getting a player like that for cheap is a smooth move by the Marlins... nice pickup.

The News
Outfielder Todd Linden was picked up off waivers by the Marlins on Friday.
Our View
Linden was most recently property of the Giants. This move doesn't give him any fantasy value.

It's a win-win for the Marlins.
He rakes minor league pitching, but just fizzles and stinks the place up in the majors, offensively & defensively.
Perhaps a fresh start will give him a boost in confidence? But I know one thing, I won't be missing him in SF.
I could see him having a stat line like this: .260 BA/.290 OBO/20 HRs/160Ks with average defense.
