Take away the fluke wins vs the Cowboys and Vikings and the Lions would be 5-6,the Lions are a 8-8/9-7 type of team that caught a couple lucky breaks early in the season.

Never for a second was I sold on them being any sort of threat to the Packers.Like I said back in October,any Packer fan who was afraid of the Lions would look back and laugh when we were 14-2 and they were 9-7 at the end of the season and owned them both times we played them.

Our D in 1st half really put me in a very uncomfortable position. We simply could not stop their running game. Luckily, Smith went out and our D tightened up in 2nd half. All, told, I am very happy with the WIN.

According to Williams, Johnson's limited route tree makes him more predictable.

"Calvin's one of those guys, they get it to him right now or up the field," Williams said. "But as far as mediocre-type routes, no. So, if you can take away that quick route and that deep route, then you're probably going to be OK."

Giving up almost 7 inches and about 45 pounds to Johnson, Williams decided to play several yards off the line.

"Because he does a lot of pushing and they never call it," he said. "So he gets that separation, and you can't accelerate with him. I just tried to not get in those joltin' battles with him. A lot of guys try to do that. He's just too big."

Good for Tramon, it really seems like he and chuck are two smart cats, and I love that they really seem to rub their zest for film study off onto the younger pups in the secondary.

That's pretty much what some of us were talking about when we were talking about Megatron being a less complete player than the other top WRs. He's clearly still in that elite class despite his technical shortcomings, but if he dedicated himself to the finer points of the game he could be one of the best ever.

Obviously, jared Allen is in a class of his own as far as doucheness, but we celebrate enough, too. Peprah, Bush, and hawk come to mind as players who give up a big play but always go nuts after a tackle. If you watch Matthews, he ALWAYS says something to the QB before he gets off him.

I was watching the Tampa vs GB game at a bar with an old friend last weekend, and he stated that it crossed his mind the other day that the Packers haven't lost since he's been with his girlfriend. He told her it would be the real test for their relationship to deal with him after the Packers lose. If that ever happens.

I think more. The act itself wasn't as despicable as stepping on a guy's unprotected face, and nobody was hurt, but the fact that he's unrepentant makes it almost as bad if not worse. It will be interesting to see how the NFL balances these factors.

I can't help but try to imagine what Reggie White would have to say about it.

Bush gets excited when he makes a nice play as a gunner on the punt team, but most gunners are like that.
