NBA is back...tentative agreement reached, sources say

Meetings are over. Word coming out of NY is that a tentative agreement has been reached...

Best guess from here: Maybe 7-10 days to finish CBA, then a week of free agency and a week of training camps. 66-game season starts 12/25

One week of free agency is going to be insane. Come on Dalembert, do the right thing and bring your talents to South Beach.

I can't wait to hear Spo mic'd up on the sidelines, it's been too long.

Let's go Heat!

Too soon?

guess i'll be regularly logging on again. about time, the dolphins have been stinking up the city.

I kind of have doubts we land anyone significant on free agency. we'll probably be the same team which is good enough IMO but still, rather have Dalembert.

oh god the Dolphins... and they had to slip up like that against DALLAS.

It's like some sort of curse....

Canes missed the final buzzer 3 the other day <_<

I hope to just have a healthy team and actually have a bench.........

WE'RE BAAAAAAAACK!

Sheridan Hoops has a VERY interesting column on the Amnesty...

Of interest to the Heat:

Atlanta: he suggests they amnesty Kirk Hinrich...YOU KNOW RILEY WILL GET HIM!
Dallas: he suggests they amnesty Haywood
LAC: he suggests they amnesty Kaman
Miami: he suggests we amnesty Mike Miller and go after Grant Hill for the short term or Shane Battier for the long term...

Dream scenario:
Miami signs Kirk Hinrich
Miami signs Brendan Haywood
Miami signs Shane Battier

Starting 5: Haywood, Bosh, LeBron (choker), Wade (whinny biatch), Hinrich
Off the bench: Udonis, Battier and Chalmers

The rest: WHO CARES! Those 8 can win you a championship EASY!

You're welcome LeBron.

Tyler Herro is a TURD.
Bam is NOT elite but is getting better.

Josh Heupel is coming for you.

I would laugh my ass off if we wound up with Hinrich and any capable center, after the thread about whether we should've took that or Bosh last season.

I would jump for joy if we could just get any capable center. That's all we really need.

About freaking time, might jump back in here, to find out about free agency, just saw in ESPN something that free agency starts Dec 9, how the hell do you start 16 days later the season?
Am pretty out the loop, I didn't want to hear much about how millionaires fighting over money, just want to watch games, don't really care for all the drama.

I need to rewire my brain to NBA season mode, I kind of already was ready for a season without NBA basketball.

I am very turned off about basketball and the players...in all honesty, if Riley wanted to trade the entire Big 3 and start over, I'd be OK with it...All players are tweeting happy tweets...who is not? Our Big 3...freakin' spoiled brats!

Those Christmas games ratings are going to off the charts...

Here's to hoping Dirk is now fat and out of shape and we crush the Mavs! REVENGE

You bet I'm pro-owners and against the players.
I've seen a ton of people getting laid off the past few weeks as I'm still standing strong and hearing NBA players complaining that they will not make more than $20mil in a max contract pisses me off. Do they realize this country is deep in the ****? They don't care...and for all I care, I want my team to used their physical abilities, win and then dump them. It's a business, they are the employers and they want to whine about making millions. Screw them.
GO OWNERS! GO HEAT (the organization, the team, the history, not the players...I'm Heat For Life no matter what players are on the roster)

You realize it wasn't a strike, but a lockout, right? You want to scream injustice for the employees that got laid off? Fine. Scream it at the ones who laid them off. The players are just trying to negotiate a good deal for themselves. They didn't ask for the league to shutdown. Place your anger in the right place, because you're siding with the people who created the problem you're upset about. PEACE.
