People here in Ann Arbor seem to think they are going to get a BCS bowl bid. I certainly hope not - they aren't good.

Re: AP Poll 11/27
The BCS at large berths are total cash grabs by the bowls. Michigan travels better than Arkansas or K-State or Oregon and they make a nice story with Robinson and recovering from RichRod.
Michigan/Houston could actually be a very entertaining game. I'd put the over/under at 82.5 points.
Maybe they should give the Big East spot to Houston even though the Cougars aren't yet in the conference. I think they can do that if Louisville wins the Big East because they're not rated high enough. That opens up a spot fot K-State or Arkansas or even Boise or TCU.

It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Re: AP Poll 11/27
Six Big 12 teams in the top 25, and Nebraska is in there as well in their first season outside the league. Pretty impressive and that should tell you why OK State is ranked above Stanford. The Pac-12 has as many teams in the BCS top 25 as C-USA and the MWC, two apiece.
The SEC only has 5, and none of the other SEC teams would beat any BCS-ranked teams on a neutral field more than 3 times out of 10. Could be a real good year for the non-AQ conferences in bowls.

I think Michigan would be the worst at large team to ever make a BCS bowl.

I still don't think OK St. is better than Stanford. I guess I'm looking at chalk, but Oregon > Iowa St.
And, pending Wisconsin actually winning the B10 championship, I would still be upset if I were in Sparty's shoes if Michigan ends up in a BCS bowl.

Re: AP Poll 11/27
But Iowa State is the 7th or 8th best team in the Big 12, Oregon is #2 in the Pac 12. I understand that makes the loss more egregious, but it demonstrates the strength of schedule outside that game.

Weren't they an auto qualifier though? I'm taking out of all non undefeated teams like Hawaii from a few years ago and teams that won their division.
