Amen to that. I don't think more than 2 guys are safe to pick in the first 10.

Hi DF,

Definitely looking like a spotty draft. Oh well, I would probably forego my picks anyway since I will be drafting 14th and I'd have to drop Tyrus, Teague or Roddy Beaubois to draft someone.

I'd take your 14th pick in a trade...

of course, I'd need to have a team first. But if given the chance, and depending on the team (if one becomes available), I'd probably go full rebuild, build for the future mode. I saw the list of teams a few pages back, and there are certainly some teams that need to ditch talent and start rebuilding. :D

I know this is a super-late check-in. I've been busy with a cross-country move. I know that's no excuse though. Am I too late?

Hey Floppy, the order hasn't been set yet. We usually do the draft at the end of July, with the draft order set shortly before that. I can't remember, but I think Craig set the draft order/lottery . We could also look to next season's commish (I stepped down). It seems like TheMan would be the main candidate there...

The way things are going, we'd probably draft the same players anyway...

BTw...I'm the guy who wants in on this league, if there is a league this year.

If we do have a season, how about we have a NBDL/feeder system. All players drafted but currently not with their drafted team would be eligible ... eg, Rubio would have been on my NBDL team instead of my having to use a DL spot. We could start with 3 spots per team and we can maintain it on these boards.

Ahh Insfo, you just don't want to have to drop anyone for Rubio, do you? 8-)

haha .. unfortunately I don't have anyone else who might fit the "NBDL" profile. It would have been useful the last couple of years though!

That said, I realize this doesn't make as much sense as it does in Baseball, but we should try it at least to freshen things up. We can have a separate Rookie draft and then mandate players drafted there to be moved to the main team after some eligibility requirements are met.

As you can see, I love the MLB Dynasty league format :D

I think we still need a commish and some replacement managers (3 teams?).

As far as I know, me and BWW are out and I think Ham just nominated himself as commish. TheMan posted all the final teams, draft picks, etc. a few pages back.

Good luck guys. It was fun!

I remember bww posting awhile back that he was out. Youngstar too. I'm going to assume TK is out because he did nothing with his team last season (keeping Sergio Rodriguez on your roster for the entire season should be grounds for dismissal). So that makes 4 open slots (bww, wb, youngstar, and tk).
