5. Please.

At least we know the NHL's priorities now. Broken neck - 0 games. Broken nose - 3 games.

You're wonderful.

No seriously, without you, this board would be far less interesting. You're always there to keep us on our toes.

From what I gather from some of the Hurricane fans I have talked to in the last 24 hours, seems to be a good bit of optimism on the hiring of Kirk Muller. We will see how the team responds.

By losing 3 -1 to Florida. But hey, Skinner gets goal #10. The lone bright spot so far in a dismal year for the Canes.

The Wild's offense is so amazingly awful.

A bit more than he is worth right now, but being that he is so young it is likely he becomes worthy of the deal over the life of the contract.

Great to see The Wings win again. Man we are on a great streak, Datsyuk is poetry in motion out there the things he does with the puck are amazing.

That goal that he set up with Homer (Holmstrom) was sick best Wings goal in a non shootout this year. Also nice to see The Joe give Stevie Y "a standing ovation" during a TV timeout. Easily my fave wing of all time and the reason I started watching them. Were in tough in our next 3 vs The puzzling Sabers who look good some days and god awful the next. Hopefully that is win #7 in a row and then we play The Aves and Blues in the next 2. I have a feeling we should take 2/3 in this road trip. The Blues have been on a roll Hitchcock has them playing great hockey as of late.

Word is that Anaheim is looking to shop one of Bobby Ryan or I heard Getzlaf being possibly mentioned as well. TSN Canada's hockey panel said that Vancouver would be the front runner for him. Some how I see a Eastern Conference team like Montreal making a strong push for Ryan.

MLive, a local website, is reporting that the Wings are in line to host one of the next two winter classics, possibly at Comerica Field or Michigan Stadium. The other candidate is NYC apparently, but since they play this year, my money would be on the D for next years Winter Classic

Can't wait for Blackhawks/Wings only this time in Detroit!

There's gotta be another team out there to start showcasing in this game. Maybe the Wild in Detroit? Or bite the bullet and put Toronto or Montreal in there for an Original 6 outdoor game again.

Rangers take down my Canes 5 - 3, as expected. But on the bright side, Skinner nets #11. Might be the only bright side for the Canes right now. Well, Staal did get 2 assists tonight, so maybe he is starting to get his game back in order.

Great win by The Wings again! People keep saying were old as dirt and we just keep rolling. Lidstrom is a machine I don't think he's human best D-Man I have seen in my life (yes that includes Borque and Coffey) he's just on another level right now. Our role players have been playing really well i.e. Bertuzzi and Homer lets hope we can go to 10 straight wins.

Just curious do you guys think after Avery Dan Carcello (sp) is the most hated NHL player? I can't stand him such a cheap player who doesn't have anything else but his toughness I mean how is he still in the league?

Carcillo hasn't done anything to warrant that title so far this season. He's turned into a nice weapon in front of the net with such talent around him.

Carcillo is up there because he's an ****. But I would say after Avery it is Lapierre

I actually don't mind Carcillo. He's a giant prick, sure, but he has never been shy about throwing down to back it up, as opposed to some other "pests" in the league who yap non-stop but never drop em

Truthfully I wish the Wings had a player like him. It's strange how we have gone from a team employing some of the toughest mofos in the business for years (Kocur, McCarty, Grimson Probert) to a team that hasn't had a true tough guy in well over 5 years (though oddly i believe Avery did start his career in the D). We do have a young guy in GR, Callahan, who I hope can eventually be that Carcillo-like guy, but that is probably a pipe-dream
