Midseason player poll: Ndamukong Suh voted dirtiest player

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Wed Nov 9, 2011 2:43 am

With half the season finished, Sporting News’ network of NFL correspondents asked 111 players from 31 teams everything you want to know about what has happened—and will happen—in 2011.

As always in our midseason poll, players were not allowed to name their team, teammates or head coach for any of their answers.

Who is the dirtiest player in the league?

Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh—36

Pittsburgh Steelers LB James Harrison—9

Tennessee Titans CB Cortland Finnegan—8

Atlanta Falcons OT Tyson Clabo—7

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward—6

Miami Dolphins G Richie Incognito—4

Chicago Bears S Brandon Meriweather—3

St. Louis Rams G Harvey Dahl—2

Tennessee Titans OT David Stewart—2

Cincinnati Bengals G Mike McGlynn—2

Kansas City Chiefs C Casey Wiegmann—2

Part of me thinks the Matt Ryan incident blew this poll out of proportion. Another part laughs at how year after year Harrison and Finnegan land near the top of these polls.

It was more like 3 incidents instead of just one. But whatever. I miss having Clabo and Dahl next to each other. :(

Ironic how one of the OT's that Suh called out as being karma for the Ryan play, is voted top 5 dirtiest. Guess he wasn;t the only one that thinks atl's o-line is dirty.

The Packers D-Line has said Atlanta's entire O-Line plays dirty.

The Falcons OL is dirty in a push after the whistle sense. Suh is dirty in a trying to put your QB on IR sense. Suh almost ripped Matt Ryan's head off and later tried to blind him.

Wow, didn't realize Suh was already the runaway winner 3 weeks before his Thanksgiving opus.

Gotta respect his drive and determination to be a unanimous #1 in the poll next time.
