Yeah makes sense. Now they just need a true no.2 or 3 to go with CC and Nova. Don't trust Hughes, just looks like Wang all over again with the dead arm (except Wang actually produced real well before he flamed out). Buerhle I think would probably be the most logical FA signing. He's got no.3 stuff, is a workhorse and seems to have the right temperament that should allow him to not go (AJ Burnett, Hideki Irabu, Javy Vasquez, etc) in NY. Not so sure about trading one of their top prospects for Danks. Would rather Buerhle and maybe Yu for this upcoming season and then look for a jackpot signing after the season.

i dont think buerlhe wants to come to NY
would you spend money for Yu or save it for next loaded OS?

Buerhle is probably going to get a stupid contract based off the fact that half the league has shown interest in him. I hope Cashman is exploring the Danks/Floyd possibility. Kenny Williams will do stupid things when he's casting off a player he's down on; go look at what the Yankees "gave up" for Swisher.
