Looks like we are out of Carling Cup. 2-0. One from mistake in high defensive line, another from poor set piece defending. Sounds familiar huh? lol

It was just Dowd getting everything wrong. Both teams should have gotten a penalty each, and the one he actually decided to give (correctly) was only given because Carroll asked for it. Lukaku should have been sent off as well but Bertrand of all people got a yellow instead.

Meh. I just hope we finish with a champions league spot, and we develop the younger players. Can't really hope for more at this point.

Don't really care about the result, but am just disappointed that Josh got injured and had to make early exit. We should have left Lukaku in the game too.

Their goalkeeper deserved to win it, he made two great saves from Park and Chamberlain. Park's touch on that shot was intentional and sublime. Feels like the end for Chamakh tbh. Koscielny, Ox, Coquelin and Frimpong were immense. Loved every minute of it.

Kos was fantastic, MotM for me. Coquelin, Frimpong, Ox, Miquel, and even Squillaci did very well.

Gervinho was garbage, Park poor.

I'd happily start Ox over Gervinho in the first XI.

I'm still holding out on Park, he shouldn't be judged on games played alongside Chamakh.

He didn't receive much service, but I thought Chamakh was the better of the two, though neither were good. Chamakh looked pretty ill aswell.

Gervinho was unbelievably poor, I'd give Chamberlain a shot.

On the plus side, Nasri was probably the worst player on the pitch.

Man City keeper was fantastic, as was Zabaleta and Dzeko.

Expect Torres to start getting boo'ed at SB. Fans aren't happy lol. I've given up on him as well.

Nasri apparently threw a punch at Frimpong in the tunnel after the game, surprised how riled up he seemed to be by all the booing and chanting.

Darren Ambrose' opener should have been worth two goals on it's own, so United can have no complaints :-)

Darron Gibson never met a sideways pass he didn't like. "If it's not a right-angle, it is a wrong angle."

I guess United could have won if they had Owen instead of Macheda, but Palace played really hard and deserved the win

Just saw the Darren Ambrose goal.....wow, what an absolute screamer, had no right to shoot from there.

Well deserved for Palace, I know a couple of people who actually went to OT, they must be going nuts right now
