How much for Shane Battier?

How much money and how many years should we offer Shane Battier of Memphis/Houston to come play here in OKC ?? Will he help us go deeper into the playoffs?

Too much! 4 years 20 million would be his ideal contract. The best the Thunder can offer is probably 3 years 10 million.

Yes!

I think if we could find a way to bring in Battier it would be huge. I don't know that we would want to offer more than 3 years, and I agree that somewhere between 3 and 4 mil per would be good. So the 3yrs/10mil sounds solid to me.

Assuming
1)we get to buyout Nate for 2.5m.
2)we get to resign Cook for around 3m per season (or he's replaced by Battier)
3) Already included Nazr 3.75m salary + Vaden/Ivey no longer on the team.

We're looking at a salary of $50m for a 13 man roster plus 1m for Reggie Jackson rookie contract and that's on $51m for 14 man with just a single roster spot left.

Probably means we're either looking at Battier OR cook cause i doubt we're getting another center nor PG. A floor spreading big might be of interest though.

Hopefully will do another Collison like deal and offer a bonus to Battier with a 3 year contract max AND 2nd or 3rd year salary not exceeding 3m.

Or use the $7m as bonus to Westbrook now so that we can play him slightly cheaper over the term of his contract.
