Trade Ideas for this Season!

Post#1 » by Beas4pres » Wed Nov 30, 2011 4:33 pm

I just read an article about NENE looking to leave the Nuggets.

Would you guys trade

GORTAT, and Dudley

for

NENE, Wilson Chandler

this gives us a SF for the Future who can play defense and score and also gives us a solid Center to play for the future.

Give it one more shot with old nash then hope for future picks

No..

Gortat = Nene
Dudley = Chandler

Silly.. considering Gortat and Dudley have the better long term contracts.

To start, Dudley on his contract is more valuable to us than what Chandler would want to get paid. Ad to that the fact that Chandler can't play an NBA game until his Chinese contract is up and you have Dudley >>> Chandler.

Then, you have the fact that Nene and Gortat are essentially the same thing - but that Gortat is also on a great contract - and the fact that Nene will most likely just leave Denver - and you find there is very little value or incentive from PHX's perspective.

i saw someone mention Nash to Atl for Hinrich and First round 2012

i think that i s decent but would rather do

Nash, Pietrus or Childress, Lopez for Marvin Williams, Hinrich and 2012 first

Why would we give up Childress and Lopez for Marvin Williams? What exactly has Williams shown that would warrant that at all? If we have an open spot, I'd rather give Childress the minutes and have Lopez as an insurance big man.

Nash for Hinrich + 2012 pick is not very good. I love Hinrich, one of my favorite players, but he simply isn't a great distributor and his shooting his very erratic. Plus that pick is going to be in the 16-20 range which is nothing overly valuable.

2012 1st sounds impressive, until you realize that Nash + Johnson + Smith + Horford makes a decent enough team to compete in the East, make the playoffs, and subsequently make the pick completely invaluable.

But Suns would stink enough to get top 10... and Hawks pick will become around 20-25.

Suns might be able to trade a top 10 (10,9 or 8) and Pick 20-25... for a top 5 pick.... land one of the future FRANCHISE players in the league..

I'm 75% support trade Nash to Hawks...
Because atleast he makes that team good enough to challenge Bulls, Heat, Celtics....

With Josh Smith, Al Horford, Joe Johnson to feed.... wow.

I'd be happy to take Marvin Williams off them and swap Childress for him.

Marvin Williams is talented enough and YOUNG enough to still become a good player, he doesnt have a role much in the current Hawks team.... he'd thrive as a starting SF.... looking at Richard Jefferson V.2

Speaking as an Atlanta fan the Hawks wouldn't give up a 2012 1st for Nash who would probably be a one year rental, the 2012 draft class will be the strongest in a decade; also Hinrich does have value too so be it that Nash has way more value then captain Kirk but the first would be too much to give for a one year point guard. As for the second trade Lopez would sound kind of tempting but his time is seriously limited potential wise and we definatly don't want Childress to us Marvin has more value, and the Hawks now have hopes for Marvin after his successful back surgery, and if we wanted to get rid of Marvin we'd simply use the amnesty clause on him.

Nash + Lopez + Childress + Pietrus

for

Hawks pick (Top 15 protected) + Hinrich + Marv Williams

Hawks win 60 games, good chance to make it all the way to finals.... Hawks match up well to Heat....

Funny how for the past 3 years now, every team you try to trade Nash to, their fans say its only a 1 year rental.

I also hear that ATL will be using their amnesty on Marvin Williams.

Last year, any team that was looking for Josh Smith was required to also take on Marvin Williams. With him possibly getting amnestied, wonder what it would take to get Smith now?

What am I missing when it comes to Marvin Williams? How exactly is he worth this? Are his career averages of 11 pts 5 rebounds on 45% shooting and 31% from 3pt in 31mpg really that enticing?

Maybe if we were talking a pick that has some real value, but that would be a very late 1st rounder, nothing but MAYBE a role player, more than likely a bench warmer will come from that given our recent draft history.

IF we are ONLY talking about a trade to ATL involving Nash. I'd want something like Nash, RoLo, Warrick for Horford/Williams.

Or Nash, RoLo, Pietrus for Smith, Williams.

In either case, we could package Hill in.

Neither is likely, but those are the only 2 players I'd want in exchange for Nash going to ATL. I like Hinrich but he is not on part with Nash and their pick simply doesn't makeup the difference IMO

some trade ideas from BSOS

If we get Big Baby I will quit being a Suns fan.

On another note, I think the best thing for the Nash situation is to trade him to the Mavs for Marion. We get our fan favorite back and Nash gets a legit shot at a ring.

Yes we are in desperate need of another wing player. Especially one on his last legs and can't create his own shot.

If the Suns could somehow even get Westbrook & Love, I'd be impressed.

Maybe we can pull a trade off for both of them THIS season? OKC has been unhappy with Westbrook's ball distribution ability, so maybe we can send Nash to OKC for him?

If Westbrook says something like "I'm only going to sign an extension with PHX because there I can play with another superstar for years to come" then I think other teams will back off and the market will be low for him leaving Nash as the best offer OKC can get.

Going after Kevin Love will make the deal even more sweeter for both Love & Westbrook since they used to be teammates back in college.

Love would also have to something like Westbrook said.

But I have no idea what we can offer for Love cause it's not going to be Gortat or Dudley. Maybe if Lopez can have a strong season, then Minny will take him + draft picks?

^There is NO chance we get either of them through trade, let alone both of them

How's this for a whopper that actually isn't that far off working

NY - gets Nash + Lopez
BOS - gets Billups + Fields
PHX - gets Rondo + Bradley

Suns get younger and more defensive immediately, Nash goes to a much better situation

Boston gets more scoring at the 1 and a guy who also has a championship pedigree and would fit seamlessly, as well as a guy who would fit in perfectly off their bench with Fields

NY gets Nash who would run a massive offence with Amare/Melo outside him, and RoLo always seemed better under D'Antoni for some reason
