Afflalo is a RFA and, while a solid enough rotation player, nothing special. Wes Johnson on his rookie deal has more value than Aflallo and Nene is walking for nothing. So this is basically Denver getting value for nothing as they don't want to pay either of those players what they will make in free agency.
Afflalo essentially is the Nuggets only shooting guard, so I can't imagine him being traded especially considering that he's RFA. There are tons of teams that are willing to trade for Nene and Afflalo who can create a nicer package, and no guarantee that Nene even wants to play in Minnesota.
The number of teams that want to trade for Nene decreases as his salary rises.
Simultaneously, his trade value drops precipitously since he's a free agent.
