I love Davis' aggression and intensity in the game. He's very thin and I would have thought he'd have a hard time holding up if it wasn't for these traits.

Lol, he's got impressive skillset, he doesn't just use his length and size.

Sure, when you play as hard as he does with that type of size and length, you're going go have value. But as far giving him the rock on the block and expect him to get a basket, aka being a true franchise player he's been hyped up to be, then I have to see more from him.

Pretty much alot of college big men were skinny but when they got into nba they worked on their body...look at bosh, he was 6'10 and 210 lb in georgia tech and for AD he is 6'10 and 220. I don't see size is a concern..., pretty sure he'll work on that in the nba.

I worry less about thin guys who have super intensity levels and are bouncy. I love Davis' potential.

Yea I agree that players work on their body upon entering the NBA. But will Davis's body fill out? Will his game translate? Will he be able to defend/score at the next level?

Did Davis shave the mono-bow?

It looks like there may be some space in there now.

The main thing that concerns me about Davis is his ability to create his own offense. He looks like a great passer, and he seems to understand spacing and the pick and roll game very well, but he hasn't shown much potential as a go-to guy creating off the dribble, or much of a jumper the way a guy like Bosh does. His defensive potential looks very good though.

First off, what you're touching on SHOULD be factored into greatly when it comes to evaluating prospects. The fact Davis has as many people as there are drinking the hype juice and yet he hasnt shown to be able to create his own offense, is disturbing.

I think guys need to remember AD played point guard years ago, and grew 6 or 7 inches over the months span...and for him to already start playing like a PF like he has been right now is outstanding, look at the way he's positioning himself, running the floor, and defensive intensity are indicator of his development. You look at him for his potential in the draft. Most skilled big men add more to their repertoire in NBA, not in the college.

You don't draft rail-thin players #1 for what they do on one side of the floor.

And i would also differ with about how much a player adds when they turn pro.

But you draft an obvious highly skilled talent.

Anthony Davis is killing it on the defensive end tonight. 7 blocks!
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth
