Week 13 Start/Sit

Post#1 » by Maritimer » Wed Nov 30, 2011 1:19 am

Let's hear 'em boys. Playoffs on the line for lots of us.

I'll go first.

1) Need a WR and a flex out of Cruz, Colston and Greene. Think I'm going to bench Greene -- he's just not that good, and gets no redzone love.

2) Need a WR and a flex from Blount, Lynch, VJax, L. Robinson, Boldin. Leaning Blount and Robinson, but Lynch at home against Philly is tempting.

1. Cruz shouldn't even be an option here, he's reached must start status. Colston and Greene is a tough call, but I'd go with Colston. Drew Brees is coming off a big game and Colston should have plenty of opportunities against that Lions Defense. Greene's too inconsistent and not very good.

2. Blount should be a must start going up against the Panthers defense that has given up the most points to RB this year. Lynch has a solid matchup against Philly, but there defense has been solid of late against the run. Boldin and VJax are too inconsistent for my liking, so I would probably lean towards Robinson here.

Here's mine...

Need a TE between Jake Ballard or Brent Celek

I agree with 1. and 2. above. I'd go Celek, both have good matchups but Celek gets the nod since VY has been chucking it all over and has less talent then Eli to work with this week with Maclin out.

It sounds like Miles Austin could be back this week. Does that change your opinions on Robinson?

I'd also go Celek over Ballard.

I could be wrong but I think Miles being back might hurt Bryant more than Robinson. Robinson has been a lot more consistant performer as of late although looking at trends when Miles came back from his first stint of missed games Robinson's production suffered so it's really a toss up.

Need some help here guys. After suffering though a 1-5 start my team has hustled back to 6-6 to currently hold the tie breaker for the 6th playoff spot. My WR situation is horrible made worse with Maclin being out. It's a 12 team 18 roster post league so there isn't **** out there and Avant was my Waiver pickup this week. I need three out of this bunch for PPR.

Vincent Jackson @ Jax

S.Moss vs. Jets

James Jones @ Giants

Steve Breaston @ Chicago

Harry Douglas @ Houston

Jason Avant @ Sea

As hit or miss as Jackson is, you have to start him. I like Douglas if Julio Jones is out -- Houston's run D is very good and Johnathan Joseph with be on Roddy White, so I expect Ryan to throw a lot and Douglas should see 7+ targets. It then comes to Jones vs. Avant for me (not interested in Moss or Breaston, b/c of Revis' coverage and Orton learning the offense). Both are upside plays, so I'd probably so Jones because of the offense.

EDIT - Forgot that Jones is back (he just had 0 targets last week). I'm also reconsidering Santana Moss. Think I may have to go Moss just for the targets, despite Revis, to go with Jackson and Jones.

Ya, its a toss up accross the board past V Jax and you could make arguments for all of those guys for certain reasons, thankfully I have Cam, Arian and Graham for some consistancy. Thanks

Still like Robinson, even if Austin is back this week (and I doubt he is), I'm sure the Cowboys will limit him as they get ready for the playoffs.

Austin's out, so that makes it easy

I have a bunch of questions this week, half PPR league

Finley v Fred Davis: Ive been playing finley every week, and am starting to get sick of him. Giants are giving up most points to TE over last 5 weeks though. Stick it out this week?

1WR, 1RB and 1 Flex (RB/WR) out of: Julio, Garcon, Mcgahee, Helu, Jacobs, Hillis

I'm thinking Helu has to be a lock given shanahans comments (be honest one time please), Mcgahee is the best flex option, and Julio if healthy? Or should I just play Garcon v Patriots to avoid something like last week happening with Julio
