Latest report are that Dwight wants to remain in Orl w/ the stipulation that the GM pairs another star along side him. With the rumors out now that CP3 would sign and extend in Orl or w/ the clips, they might just be able to gift Dwight what he wants.

eh, as badly as some people laugh at the offer the lakers would put out for d12, whatever the magic could offer cp3 would be a bigger joke.

Nelson for CP3 is a bigger joke than Bynum for Dwight. Frankly there's nothing outside of Dwight that's worth 2 cents on that roster and had they kept Gortat they could have atleast made a play for Monta Ellis now.

Agree, the Magic have probably some of the worst contracts on their roster. No way the NBA ran Hornets are gonna switch out CP for Jameer Nelson. Sadly the Magic fans can't pick up on the code speak Dwight is sending out. Mentioning if management can land another star piece is clearly throwing the first stone. Nobody is going to keep Dwight in Orlando by helping them with a trade........not even the down trodden Hornets.

The Magic have NOTHING to offer the Hornets for CP3 or the Warriors for Monta ... they can try as hard as they want, they simply have NOTHING to offer any team that will result in them getting a star back. Otis Smith screwed them long ago, period.

What is interesting though is that Dwight says he would stay in Orlando if CP3 came there too ... AND CP3 saying he would accept a trade to the Magic even though they are a small market team ... he simply would love to play with D12.

That said ... it sounds like these two superstars could easily force themselves to a be a package deal, to be traded to the same team, especially since the Knicks (CP3's preferred destination) has NOTHING of value to offer the Hornets.

That said, I believe the ONLY two teams that have the goods to trade for BOTH D12 & CP3 are the Lakers and the Clippers.

Three team trades below:

LAKERS TRADE: Bynum, Gasol, Odom, Barnes, Ebanks, Caracter, Morris, $3mil cash and (2) #1s
LAKERS RECEIVE: D12, CP3, Hedo and Okafor

MAGIC TRADE: D12 and Hedo
MAGIC RECEIVE: Bynum, Odom, Barnes and a #1

HORNETS TRADE: CP3 and Okafor
HORNETS RECEIVE: Gasol, Caracter, Ebanks, Morris, $3mil cash and a #1

===================================================

CLIPPERS TRADE: Jordan, Bledsoe, Farouq-Aminu, Mo Williams, Kamaan, Foye, $3mil cash and (2) #1s
CLIPPERS RECEIVE: D12, CP3, Hedo and Ariza

MAGIC TRADE: D12 and Hedo
MAGIC RECEIVE: Jordan, Foye and the better #1

HORNETS TRADE: CP3 and Ariza
HORNETS RECEIVE: Bledsoe, Farouq-Aminu, Mo Williams, Kamaan, $3mil cash and a #1

=================================

Want to know WHY people hate the Lakers ... above is why ... look at the offers the Clippers can make and then look at the offers the Lakers can make ... it's obvious BOTH the Magic and Hornets would rather pull the trigger on the Lakers offers!

LAKERS OFFER:

HORNETS TRADE: CP3 and Okafor
HORNETS RECEIVE: Gasol, Caracter, Ebanks, Morris, $3mil cash and a #1

CLIPPERS OFFER:

HORNETS TRADE: CP3 and Ariza
HORNETS RECEIVE: Bledsoe, Farouq-Aminu, Mo Williams, Kamaan, $3mil cash and a #1

How can I say it is better than the Clips? Let me see, hmm.

Because the Clippers are offering Bledsoe, a career 6th man at best, more like a 9th man ... Aminu sucks and is nothing but a future backup wing to play in defensive situations, Mo Williams is a bad contract the Hornets wouldn't want and Kamaan is useless ... the pick ... it's okay.

On the flip side the Lakers are offering a HOF'er and current top 3 PF in the league, a possible future replacement for CP3 who I honestly believe is worth every bit what Bledsoe is worth in Morris, two young pups that are nothing special but together every bit as valuable as Aminu and at half the price, and the Lakers are taking back Okafor instead of Ariza ... a trade off that will bring a huge smile to the Hornets.

That's why :-)

^It's possible, but I will stick by my assertion that Morris has the ability to be a better long-term true pg in this league then Eric Bledsoe ... and also my assertion that Aminu is garbage.

Vander Weide Made 1:00 AM Call To Howard In Recent Days

Read more: http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/217053

Sounds like the front office is Bailing Out cos they cant hold on to Howard... So they don't have the title of the guy who gave away D12 attached to them forever... I guess.
