Game -12 Detroit (7-4) at New Orleans (8-3) 8:20 kickoff
I see this game as a blowout for New Orleans winning 41-27 our DB's are injured .Lions team getting flagged always at the the wrong times in games costing many points and the starts with the coach to cut the red flags down . For the lions to win this game is like pulling a rabbit out of a hat.
Detroit need to copy N. Orleans 5 wide out set, no RB to open passing lanes.
Here's why the Giants coach said:
We didn’t stop them. How much further explanation do you want?” said Giants coach Tom Coughlin, whose defense was unable to sack Brees. “We prepared well, but when we got in the game we didn’t cover well. When we don’t get to the passer, we have trouble.”

P.s.just like Kevin Smith we have to wait and see if Arron brown can do anything as RB for the lions.
New Orleans amassed a season-high 577 yards of offense against New York, the second-highest total in Saints franchise history.

Just like the Bears game....
The Saints are coming off MNF and we have extended time to prepare for them (Bears, we were coming off a bye). So look for us to get owned again.

Not going to beat the Saints in New Orleans. Certainly not with the way Stafford continues to stink, no Suh, stupid penalties, and poor gap integrity against the run.
I'd like to see it get into a shootout and have Stafford regain some of the mojo he had earlier this year. Their corners other than Porter are terrible; Patrick Robinson makes Chris Houston look like Revis and Deion Sanders combined. This should be a game where Titus Young proves he's a legit #2 wideout. Could be a strong game for Pettigrew too as their LBs are not physical.
I see something like 34-21 Saints or a score like Kell posted if the teams start quickly.

With Suh suspended hopefully Fairley can step up. Watching him play this season has made me really regret not taking Prince

Re: Game -12 Detroit (7-4) at New Orleans (8-3) 8:20 kickoff
Well that's just silly. He's a DT with very little time to play and develop, and to have an opinion of disappointment at this point doesn't make much sense. He's made a couple of good tackles in the last game and he showed he can get to the QB and deliver a huge hit. That looks like nothing but encouraging signs so far. And of course it's not great value because we are loaded at DT. We lose a lot of value by not gambling and hoping on him through trading away other DT assets. You win some and you lose some on 1st round draft picks, but we never had any chance of winning with proper full maximization by making that pick since we never did all of the other corresponding roster moves that were needed to give us the ability to take advantage of him panning out if he does. It's a guaranteed loss now either way since the inefficiency is now inescapable as the trade deadline has passed. That's the real regret imo.
And if we lose to the Saints, we might have to win all 4 of our final games to make the playoffs, including @ Green Bay. So we better beat the Saints as they are the easier win between those 2 games!

Prince gave up 3 TD passes on MNF and he missed 9 games. I'd like to have Danny Watkins, who started real slow but has been much better lately starting at guard for the Eagles. Or if the Lions wanted to overload the D-line, Phil Taylor of the Browns has been fantastic: 4 sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss, forced a fumble, blocked a field goal, has drawn 6 holding penalties. That might wind up being more than Fairley's career stat line and Taylor has done it in 11 games.
TSE--by your typical logic you should be screaming to trade Fairley while his market value is still maximized, i.e. before the rest of the league figures out he sucks. Yet you firmly support him. Why?

Re: Game -12 Detroit (7-4) at New Orleans (8-3) 8:20 kickoff
We can't trade him, because it's past the trade deadline. And next year his trade value will be crap compared to what it was when we were on the clock or even 5 seconds after we drafted him. Part of the value of a 1st Rd pick is the chance that a player busts out immediately as an obvious star, and he hasn't done that so far, so his stock has gone down. I had no idea he was injured and going to miss as much time to start the season, and many teams may have only been able to "guess" at that, but now it has been proven and that along with not dominating early in the small amount of time and small chance that a player has to dominate early lowers his value. Plus he had that late hit penalty, and while that means nothing to me really, some teams have bizarre subjective measures for why they discredit players, just like the whole league discredited Blount because of his "attitude" or whatever.

I will be watching these people in this game Brown,Silva,Young, and Spievey i think at least one of them will come through this game and take it to the end zone with a TD.
T Jeff Backus has started in 171 consecutive games, tied with Hall of Famer Dick Le Beau for the longest streak in club history.
WR Titus Young ranks third around NFC rookies with 376 rec. yards (29 catches)
DE Cliff Avril has five sacks and four forced fumbles.

Not a chance to win, but should be a fun shoot-out type game. I'll be interested to see how Fairley steps his game up

This is a game where Avril and VandenBosch need to step up to make up for losing Suh. I don't think its fair to expect another DT on the roster to fill Suh's role.

All the other teams we are fighting with for playoff spots lost. Here's hoping the Lions can take advantage. A win here and the 5 seed is Detroit's destiny, and I like the chances in a rematch with the Niners.
Aww screw all that, the Saints are about to embarrass the Lions.

It's really too bad Fairley hurt his foot again, he was looking quite good
Team hasn't been this bad, but my god the penalties...

At some point Schwartz is going to have ot answer for the chronic lack of discipline on his team.
And yes, I did notice Fairley playing well

blocked FG the defensive guy was never touched
detroit always starts the game too slow and when they get 17 point behind then they start throwing when it's usally too late.

Haven't loved the officiating in this one. Guys still need to be accountable for sure, but some of these calls and no calls are tough man
Stafford could have had Titus for 7 at the end there with a better throw. He's still having a nice game
