and then he takes an idiotic penalty. Good on Raiola for getting up in his grill. Bad on Schwartz for not holding guys accountable

I saw today that Raheem Morris sent one of his guys home today for taking a stupid personal foul. I really appreciate that. I wish Schwartz had the gall to do it

The fact that we are only down 7 right now, considering the penalty situation, is a testament to how well we have played

I felt that way against GB too. The penalties and Suh took away from a pretty good performance

total yards 466 to 438 lion outgain again

differance in game flags ,flags ,flags

Penalties

11 det = 107 yards

3 - N.o = 30 yards

Nate Burleson....i mean what the **** are you doing? WRs don't get three offensive PIs in a career, let alone a single game. That was something wild to watch, let me tell you

Schwartz needs to get this team under control. The late personal fouls, the dumbass penalties...they have to stop. It kills me

Schwartz has been letting the team go crazy for 2 years now and he does not try to stop it, and it costs us 3 games a year.

Stafford could have had Titus for 7 at the end there with a better throw. He's still having a nice game

This felt like i was watching 2006 ECF pistons vs d-whistle.

The NFL has officially become a crooked league just like the NBA, imo. After watching the GB-NY game with obvious biased calls left/right, to the point that I considered it blatant cheating by the refs in GB's favor, to then see it even worse the next game up lions-saints. It confirms to me what I've thought for a while, that Goodell is jusr as crooked as Stern.

I didn't even want NY to win and I could see those were blatantly fixed calls. From now on teams dont bother challenged a call against GB. The refs will go look at it, but your not winning the call, no matter how obvious. They'll just bring their little poster boy pererra on to tell you some BS detail in the rule book that allows it.

That TD call for GB was a joke, and this lions game was clearly payback for all the bad pub Suh created for the league. Believe it or not, but the NFL is fixing games. The frustration penalties the lions were inexcusable, but the same time, when you are getting blatantly screwed by the refs, all before any of those personal fouls happen, they had an excuse to be outraged.

Lets face it, the league was pulling for the lions to be a face of the league at the beginning of the year. They got a lot of calls in their favor during 5-0. Then they starting getting a bad rep publicly, made the league look bad, and now the league hates them, hence all the fixed calls now.

Just the fact ppl are now discussing "getting calls or not" in the NFL tells you its no different than the NBA now. Both leagues are crooked. If you want to win, you better get on their good side.

Stafford looked good and confident, he needs to start the game like he starts the 2nd half, maybe we should be down at the start of games, since he seems to respond when we are losing.

Our running game at times looked half decent, and then smith gets injured.

some of the penalties were BS, however Shwartz needs to get this sh* under control. Fire schwartz hire cowher(dreaming), Young cost us 7 points

Titus young, Davis and Burleson had some beautiful catches.

Imagine if Best had caught some of those underneath throws, with his playmaking ability i gurantee it would have translated into at least a td.

Stafford under-threw calvin big time but we got bailed out by the illegal contact call. if stafford hadn't we'd have another td.

Our defense actually looked good without suh, fairley looked good.

By my calculations lions missed 2 FG's they should have made, we should have had 2 td one with Burleson's stumble and stafford underthrow. and 4 more points because we had to settle for a fg because of youngs penalty. score should have been

41-31.

I'm not excusing the players umb decisions, but to me the refs made just many dumb decisions, so to me its a moot point. The wouldn't have won even if they didn't get all those self-inflicted penalties. The league was not going to allow the lion to celebrate a win on national TV when they are supposed be being punished for suhs actions.

They probably wouldnt have won anyways w/o the fixed calls becuz NO is that good, but NO didnt need any help/

Here's how to beat the lions read below:
The whole nfl knows you can talk smack to the lions and draw a flag it's that simple , the lions do not use their head.If you win the penalty game against the lions you win the game.

the lions lead the NFL in bonehead PENALTYS

As TSE says another week same ole crap noithing changes for the lions so why talk about them.
I am also tired of talking about penaltys week in and week out year after year .

We need someone to come in and talk to the lions about thier thinking before they hit the ref or throw a football at a player,or offenceive interfearence you would think burleson would learn after one but he commited 3 and said i would have to look at the film DUHHHHHH
(you did it) and to top that he got a facemask call too .And Titus young i give up !!!!!!!!!!
I'am going back to bed and dream about a team that does't shoot themselves.

The game went just about how I pictured it.....we neither D could stop the opposing offense, and our penalties did us in again.

This loss was a testament to unnecessary and unlikeable play: 11 penalties for 107 yards, one seemingly both dumber and more backbreaking than the next. Beating the Saints in the Superdome is tough enough; it can’t be done this way. Wild play is a coincidence that keeps on happening to Detroit, although at least they are starting to admit it.

“We had one last week and that was a selfish play that put four points on the board and took one of our players out of the game,” coach Jim Schwartz said of star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh’s(notes) Thanksgiving game stomp that led to an ejection and a two-game suspension. “It’s my job to make sure the trend stops right now,” Schwartz said

“The after-the-whistle stuff is selfish,” Schwartz said. “If you’re a selfish player you won’t be playing.”

I like the theory. Too late, and I want to see it actually happen, but it is nice to hear that players will be benched for dumb penalties.

Its looking like that isn't it. I've read in a few places that he supports this type of atmosphere and fosters it. But the sources were less than reputable, so I'm hoping that isn't the case.

We need to break this culture ASAP, play till the whistle, not after it.
