Tony is annoying but there's still something lovable about him. Maybe it's the fact that every other fan base hates on our broadcast team so much.

Tony is corny and can be replaced but Eric Reid is great IMO.

Lol i agree, have watched some games with the Celtics commentators and they are so biased it´s not even funny, even making me angry from times to times. The Lakers are pretty unbiased and call it pretty straight if im not mistaken.

From the Heats commentators i think they are fine, i just lack some fire from the sometimes. I watch alot of Fotball here in Europe, and some commentators with alot of fire in them makes the games alot more fun to me.

Oh you must be talking about Tommy Heinsohn from the Celtics? I hated it him too, but now I just laugh about his strong bias. At least he still says good basketball stuff at times. The Bulls and Thunder commentators are the most annoying ones to me. They're biased and dumb at the same time.
Aside of our guys, I gotta agree the Lakers announcers are pretty damn good and I enjoy listening to them.

On another note: What's going on on this board? We have people talking about trading Haslem, replacing E.Reid, what's next, drive Riley out of town? I always liked how our organization had certain people you could always associate the Heat with and the three I mentioned definitely belong into this group.

Play by play is fine--but the color is horrible. I feel like they try too hard not to be biased toward the Heat, unlike every other announcer team in the league--which sucks when pretty much every national broadcast of the heat is them getting blasted for two hours by jokers like Reggie Miller.

I need some balance. We need a crazy homer on the sidelines to balance things out. Like the energy of the Lebatard rants but for the games.

Eric Reid is one of those guys you keep around for as long as he lives. He's been a staple of the Miami Heat's broadcasting history since the very first franchise game, and it's for a good reason. He's as unbiased as home team announcers are, and he happens to be the cream of the crop. Only Marv Albert and Mike Breen can compare to this guy. In the meantime, Tony Fiorentino can go. I personally miss Mike Fratello's analysis. Hell, I even miss "Easy" Ed Pickney. Tony needs to go.

besides the fact that Eric Reid is a Heat lifer. He will be the voice of our franchise for as long as he wishes to do the job. My absolute favorite, rarely makes mistakes and is objective. He always gives props to the opposing teams top players and coaches.

on skill set alone (Heat bias aside) Eric Reid has been offered gigs at every major sports network in the country and has turned down those deals to stay aboard with the Heat. Reid is one of the best of the biz.

Tony F can be annoying and he is a total Heat homer all the time but we could do worse...

Eric Reid and DR Jack Ramsey were the GOAT combo in Heat broadcast history.

Eric Reid is one of the best in the business, easily. Very entertaining. How can you replace the "kaBOOM!"?

Tony is aite.

Funny things about Tony is he was so conditioned for so long to debate Wade over LeBron that now that LeBron is on the team he can't give him props without adding Wade to the mix. Even if Wade isn't playing particularly well, or has nothing to do with it, he has to lump them together. It is funny.

examples:

LeBron with a deep three at the end of the shot clock....

"Wow...that is why LeBron (along with Wade) are the best in the game."

LeBron gets a triple double.

"He makes it look easy. Every phase LeBron (and DWade) make it look easy."

Come on, while that may be true, the only reason you would notice something like that is because you're a LeBron fan.

What is much more noticeable is the way he (and Eric) go out of their way to praise guys like Joel and UD. Which I kind of like, but makes me a little sick at times when it comes to Joel. You can't even claim he's not appreciated by the casual fan anymore, we chant MVP for him.

No! I like tradition. Besides, who cares what other fans think of OUR broadcasters.

And this is exactly it. Tony might be a little corny at times, but at least he provides the basketball knowledge he's supposed to have, unlike most of the so-called experts and analysts. One thing I enjoy about him is his attention to detail. He notices the little things players do well and while he may blow them out of proportion (Joel *cough cough*), it's still nicer to hear this than "Anything you can do I can do better" or "Give it to me Big Sexy!" or constat crying about the refs.
