Outlaw injures hand?

Post#1 » by NyCeEvO » Mon Dec 5, 2011 9:51 pm

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Nets waiting to examine forward Travis Outlaw, who suffered a hand injury that could include a fracture, league sources tell Y!

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Outlaw expected to arrive into New Jersey on Monday evening.

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Nets still strongly leaning toward using amnesty on Outlaw's deal, but what's unclear are league rules for players injured during lockout.

This should prevent us from amnestying him right? If so, :o .... :banghead:.... :curse: .....

This could actually be a good thing.

If he got injured in a non-basketball related activity, there is a possibility that we could legitimately void his contract. You guys remember when Monta Ellis injured himself in a motorcycle accident? Golden State could've voided his contract, but chose not too.

It would be awesom if we could void Outlaw's contract and still get to keep our amnesty clause.

Turns out he fractured his hand hitting a punching bag.

The Monta Ellis situation was completely different there's a clause or some **** in every contract that prohibits risky dumbass **** like riding a motorcycle / moped. If this was a training injury then whoop-dee-damn-do.

Woj is speculating hard too, I would be floored if someone stepped in and told the Nets that Outlaw can't be their amnesty clause candidate despite his injury.

Wouldn't really matter, we couldn't amnesty Hedo or a 31 year old nene anyway.

Plus since there was a lockout I think he's covered.

I know. The fear is his health/athleticism long-term . If we sign him he's guaranteed for 4 years
