forget it, if you feel like a proven good player like Rasmus having a couple of bad months is the same as Jeff Mathis being one of the worst hitters of all time then we have nothing more to talk about.

Lol. Statistically, Rasmus couple of bad months are almost worse than Mathus whole career at the plate.

So Mathus in his worst year offensively still beat Rasmus couple of months with the Jays. I'm willing to take a Rasmus caliber loss offensively in exchange for a defensive catcher with good game calling. If he saves us like 1 or 2 home runs it makes up for his whole year offensively.

Mike Scioscia thinks thats debatable and he's one of the most respected managers in the game.

please, just because he's "respected" by the dinosaurs in the game doesn't mean he gets any respect from me. I base my opinions on what he does, not what other people say about him. Letting a bum like Mathis play 500 MLB games while running Napoli out of town(who goes on to have an MVP caliber year) because he doesn't like him is enough for me to form an opinion.

Or maybe i just don't want to see the worst player in Baseball and probably the worst hitter in the history of baseball play for my favourite team, even for 40 games.
