Since it seems certain he'll be let go, would you be in favor of such a move?
He would likely be cheaper, require less years, and perform at a similar (possibly higher) level. He also brings name value. What say you?

Carter is good, and the Pacers may need his experience. The question should be will he like to land Indiana? After all, the Pacers won't pay him too much.

Re: Alternative to Crawford: Vince Carter?
If he is willing to be a role player. This team is still a year or two a way and I don't want someone coming in that expects to take minutes from George/Granger.
I think we need a starting 4 (Nene) and a reserve wing (Battier) along with resigning Foster and we will be set.
Hill / Collison / Lance
George / Rush
Granger / Battier
Nene / Hansbrough
Hibbert / Foster

I wholeheartedly agree with the plan to go after 2 bigs and a guy like Battier or Prince.
But everything we hear seems to indicate they want to add a scoring 2. If so, I'd hope for Carter over Crawford.

Re: Alternative to Crawford: Vince Carter?
I don't want either of them. I think an ideal roster has two point guards, two shooting guards, and a player than can play both. That gives you the three active point guards you really need without burying one at the end of the bench. Collison, Hill, Stevenson, George, and Jones are under contract I believe. AJ and Rush I'm not so sure about. if they are both free agents, I'd take AJ first as I see point guard depth as a bigger problem than shooting guard depth. Crawford at least can play some point though.

AJ & Rush are both under contract although AJ's contract is not guaranteed and Rush not being traded is certainly not guaranteed.

Not really interested. I don't think there's much he can bring to this specific team at this point in his career.

End of the day Crawford is a 40 point scorer who is unguardable 1 on 1 That can play Pg and you don't have to pay $15mill a year for. And I know he's Not in his 20's but he has a young body and shows no signs of slowing Down, He doesnt put alot of stress on his Body it seems.
