Who do you guys think are this year sleepers?

I don't know if DeMar DeRozan would be considered a sleeper, but I'm drafting him much higher than he's ranked in all of my leagues.

I like Affalo a lot this year assuming JR is gone. He's around 100 on Yahoo but I'll be grabbing him earlier then that in all my leagues.

Amir Johnson too. Davis is likely going to get more minutes but I don't see any situation where Amir doesn't out pace where he's ranked (he's 140ish on Yahoo) since there were streches last year where he had 3rd round value.

Maggette can be had super late and super cheap if you want the Pts/FT boost. He's going to be relied upon a ton to score.

I am loving Afflalo...

Here's a couple of picks that I'm going to have my eyes:

Gallinari - Should be getting most of the shots in Denver

Faried - Hustle and energy player should shine on depleted Denver roster

Tristan Thompson - Should have the starting PF job out of the gates. He's one of those sabermetric guys.

A. Daye - With Prince all but gone, Austin should play 30+ mpg...which means he should produce pts, blks, stls and some 3's

Mo Williams - As long as he stays healthy and is starting in Clipperland, I see him having a monstrous season

My strategy is always to look for players who can produce when given the playing time, and should be in line for a generous bump in minutes.. If they are on the floor, they will have an impact on the stats sheet.

What do you guys think about Brandon Jennings this year in a points league?

Also, what about Al Harrington? I don't even know who the #1 option on the Nuggets anymore

Really like Nick Batum especially since it sounds like Roy is on his way out.

Just curious if you guys trust KLove and DRose as first round picks this year...

I don't know if Love can reproduce last season and DRose has FG% issues

players whom the offense runs through would be a good start as well. the occasional 3pt specialist in reality has very little value unless your team is loaded and you just need to touch up on weak categories.

both will be duds compared to last yr imo.

rose's FG% has a direct correlation to his volume scoring, but having said that i've never been a big rose fan and i'd take cp3 over him instantly.

Rose took a big jump FT% wise. I'm not sure he'll sustain that either. I'll let someone else grab him in the first.

do you guys think teague, bayless and hayward are sleepers as well? some projected stats are welcome

teague - with his playoff performance last year against the bulls, deserves playing time
bayless - late surge, new coach in toronto
hayward - also played well in the later stages of last season, utah not resigning AK

Avoid Jennings like the plague unless you are planning on tanking FG%. Sub 40% shooting and more than 16FGA per game is such a dagger. And he only gives you middling assist number. Avoid.

If you play in a deep league, i actually like Luke Ridnour this year. I anticipate him splitting minutes with Rubio at PG and generally putting respectable number for the Wolves. He's just the kind of PG that Adelman likes very much.

I think Al Horford could be a good sleeper- esp if Smith gets traded

Kobe could potentially be a sleeper unless your fantasy league is in LA. I think most boards have him in the early 3rd round which im sure he will surpass.

Felton could also be good on that Blazers team

Dudley - big numbers as a starter, 16pts 6reb 2asst 2stl 2x 3s...Carter will be bought out, Duds should get 30+mins right away

Gallinari - He's already shown he has the potential to average 20 and 6 over a month, and the 3s will come back as well as massive ft% boost and the odd steal/blk

Maggette - Silas has come out and said he will start, and be relied upon to score...He's also shown he could be a 20-6 guy if he gets 32mins

Lawson - any time you can get a young PG who's first 2 years mainly as a reserve and he shot 50%fg, that's a good sign. His numbers as a starter last year were 16-4-6 and a good amount of stls and 3s

Budinger - he might emerge as the starter at SF for HOU. He put up 14pts 4reb 2.5asst 1.5x 3s in 22 games post AS

Here's some other sleeper 'specialists'
PTS - CJ Miles...nearly 16 a game as a starter, which he should be...Hayward as well for that matter
REB - As others have said, Faried should get 25-30min right away, and do Evans-like rebound numbers
ASST - Ridnour - whoever said him, I agree. Even off the bench he might do 10-3-6
STL - Tony Allen...who knows if he stays a starter, but 2.3stl as a starter is massive
BLK - Deandre Jordan...I think they ship Kaman out and he becomes a 9-10-2.6 guy
3s - Carlos Delfino...He should start, and had some HUGE games from deep last year, doing 2.1 per game

by all accounts, al jefferson and andrew bynum could possibly take their game (and hopefully stats wise) to another level.

^ I am curious how Utah would purge their frontcourt. Jefferson is their biggest asset and they could get a lot FOR him. If he lands in a perfect situation like Charlotte maybe yes. But if he stays in Utah, he could see a dip in stats. Bynum can have a breakout if he stays healthy. And that's a big IF.

My sleepers would be Dudley and Afflalo.

g monroe: 45th? so much for sleeper. bet he goes lower in real drafts. godly in TO leagues

d-west: 48th? REALLY intriguing. good in TO leagues
deng: this is why you dont draft melo/wallace/all those other fools in the 2nd round.
garnett: awesome in TO leagues, roto. dont want in H2H leagues
j johnson: 53rd? wasnt he playing hurt last year? godly in TO leagues. top-25 potential. swingmen in the first 3 rounds are such terrible value.
conley: rock solid value @ 54
ray ray: supremely undervalued @ 55

gasol: 57th? good value. fear he goes higher. does monroe really go above gasol?
evans: 58th for this ball hog? potential 2nd round value return.
bogut: 59th for such major big ball stats? rock solid value
j-kidd: 60th? more like top 40. potential for top 30. outside shot at top 20.
harden: love his game but 66th is too high for uncertain role, stubborn coach

scola @ 79? i dunno, he posts d-west numbers. why is west rated so much higher? i hate his age but if he's not drafted as a top 50 player he's prob a steal
