AJ Burnett being Pitched to other teams LOL

Could just be a case of nothing to write about for the Yankees in the winter meetings but it's as bad as Burnett was either the Yankees must really think that highly of Noesi and believe that Nova is for real and that Hughes actually can rebound to be offering up Burnett. That or an indication that they have something possibly lined up (either via trade, via FA signing or they plan on being serial for Yu Darvish bidding)?

Also begs the question...who would you guys rather have? AJ Burnett or Carlos Zambrano? Kinda like the who would you rather have Jared Jeffries or Shelden Williams argument but just involving more money.

Yankees Pitching Burnett In Trade Talks

The Yankees have put right-hander A.J. Burnett on the trade market, according to a report.

They have let it be known that they will listen to offers for Burnett and are willing to pay $8 million of the $33 million he is owed over the next two seasons, according to multiple teams.

"We will listen on anybody," general manager Brian Cashman said.

If AJ was traded to the NL West where these stadiums are a little deeper and offenses can be pitched around (save maybe Colorado), he'd be in the 16 game win column with a vastly better ERA. Unfortunately, I can't see any team taking AJ because they're looking for more hitting.

AL East is brutal man. You gotta face the Red Sox, Rays, improving Jays...and Baltimore always seems to find a way to wallup teams in April and in Sept. You don't just need an ace...you need a top 5 pitcher to survive the AL East. It is a relentless beast that chews through starters.

Cash is funny trying to make amends for his mistakes (again)...but one thing about AJ, he's a professional. He may not have pitched well but he makes his starts. It won't bother me if we keep him because of that....we don't know if Hughes can overcome his injuries, how Nova's arm will hold up in season 2, etc...
