Barnes or Lamb.

I have to think Lamb.

Barnes doesn't look any better than he did in the tournament last year. In fact, I think he may have hurt his stock because he's showing a lower ceiling than people hoped (my interpretation). From what I've seen, he's not a good rebounder and not a play maker/distributor. I think he can score/defend and I'm not sure he can score at an elite pace.

Someone needs to post a picture of Beal's arms. That kid has a ridiculous wing span. Haven't seen him play much but I'm hoping he's a good defender. With arms like that he should be stealing balls left and right.

While Beal's wingspan is moderately long, he does not have a freakish wingspan for his height like say Jeremy Lamb for example. 6'4" with a wingspan of ~6'7" isn't that ridiculous. However, at his age, I'd say he an NBA ready frame/body. He can probably already take on most guys at the next level with his current frame. What's a scary thought is that he can probably get even bigger. This guy could be a freight train at SG.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

If I'm not mistaken Beal is playing a lot of SF in that system. Might be a reason why he's getting so many boards.

Well he's averaging 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game to go along with his 1.7 three-pointers per game. Which is a rather awesome statline.

And to the poster who mentioned him playing SF, I'm not 100% sure but you could be right considering Erving Walker is their 5'8 point guard and they also have Kenny Boynton at 6'2 playing for them. Plus I think Yeguete is their PF at 6'7 and Patric Young is their C at 6'9. Talk about running small ball.

Big fan of Beal. I would draft him ahead of Lamb personally.

To each their own I guess. Just looking at the per game averages, besides rebounds, Lamb's numbers appear superior in comparison to Beal and he only plays about 4 more minutes per game. I know it's not just about the numbers but still. I haven't looked at Lamb's stats until today but damn, 51.8% FG and 87.1 FT%...For some reason, I thought he would be averaging <45% on FG the way he shoots but I guess he's hitting most of them.

I think Beal makes the better pro though.

Joint NBA/NBPA committee will discuss issues related to the Draft, including the age limit -- which could change after 2012 draft.

Sebastian Pruiti is an outstanding pickup by Grantland!

I like Miller for the simple fact he's a legit swing Toronto needs in the worst way. Second Miller have more potential to be a long term piece for us.

No, I mean why do you think this? Did you watch his pre-ACL games?

I want him to be good but I didn't know what he was trying to do or be the other day, and he wasn't moving well. TBF, it's the only game I've seen(though I saw it twice) and I haven't written him off. I understand that it takes time to recover from surgery but I can only compare him to injured white guys after that performance, and it's hard to even picture him as particularly athletic or dominant offensively, let alone assume that.

Why the faith?

I just like his game, Quincy Miller is my #1 SF target if were picking in the top 5 and Drummond/Anthony Davis are gone. I don't buy in Barnes I think he will be a solid pro but I think his value is due to the UNC hype machine. We seen it in years past seems like every year from 2004 to now they have 3-4 top 20 prospects and only a select few turn out to be great. Remember when Marvin Williams was considered to be this uber elite SF. Look how that turned out, also RayShawn Terry was a great fit for their system but a terrible NBA player. If you want a better look use this http://statsheet.com/mcb/teams/north-carolina/nba_draft I think Barnes will be good but I don't see him as a better explosive player like Miller could be. Barnes looks like a better defender but I think Miller has the chance to be special

nice flush by Young. He would be an interesting guy to consider with an additional pick. Great NBA body, excellent strength and athleticism, and he's looking a lot more confident in the post.

Young can dominate with his physical strength in college level but I doubt he can do much in the NBA paint..., Beal is struggling, he missed couple tough layups ...but hope to see him bounce back in 2nd half.

As always, BEAR DOWN!
Although I expected us to lose by 20+. Sucks that Josiah is suspended and you guys didn't get a chance to see him as he has been outstanding in the past few games.

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but I really don't understand all the Q. Miller hype on this board. The kid is coming off a pretty serious injury, had attitude problems in the past, doesn't play defense, has questionable speed and lateral quickness at best, and yet you would think he was the second coming of LeBron or Durant with the way some of you guys go on about him. And it's not like he has a huge body of work to go on - he's fresh out of high school and was sidelined for the past year. What exactly has he done to garner or warrant all this hype? Am I missing something?
