Is there a way that we trade a package containing Psycho-T in order to upgrade the PF spot and then re-sign Josh and Jeff?

Hear me out. An upgrade at PF is what all is talking about. However, if you do that, then you leave T to second string and I see him being a better player in a starting role. he has to get his motor started early. Josh is a better second string guy. A spark and great passer off the bench.

Let's say you end up with a S&T with Denver for Nene. Denver reunites two college teammates and IND gets a two headed monster up front with the ability to move Nene to C and bring in Josh.

It is just a thought. I know T is a better starter, but I think Josh is a better bench player. If your looking to upgrade PF, why keep the lesser bench player?

Disagree i think T is a better back-up 4 as opposed to McRoberts. McBob is a flow player, T is an energy player

I'm not sure about better starter/better bench player. A better player is a better player, in my opinion, and Tyler is better than McBob.

2 different answers.

1) Yes, if we somehow bring in a super young PF that is signed long-term and is a long-term answer, I think you almost have to look at moving Tyler as he's purely a PF, and would be locked into 18 or less minutes a night for the next 4-5 years.

2) For Nene? Why S&T? You don't gain anything, and you just give up a very useful guy in Tyler when Denver CANNOT match an offer to Nene. He's un-restricted, and we have max cap space (if we were silly enough to go that high).

Oh, I guess c) Josh is likely already out. He is interviewing elsewhere and is likely to be a bit overpaid from what we would like to pay him. Good on him.

what we need is a young Jeff who can play both 4 and 5 and then Hibbert, Hansbrough and the new guy do a three man rotation.

I used to though J-Mac would be that guy...

Anyway, I think the Pacers could still bring Jeff and J-Mac back even if we land Nene. After all, the schedule is quite tough, and may need more deapthd from the bench.

PG: Collison / Hill / Price
SG: George / Rush / Stephenson
SF: Granger / Posey
PF: Nene / Hansbough
C : Hibbert / McRoberts / Foster

Thanks for the responses. They are all valid points and appreciated. just trying to think a little outside the norm in ways to have a solid fast paced scoring first and second unit. Also would like to keep seeing the entertaining high flying dunks.
