Sources say that T-Mac has agreed to sign with the Hawks for the Vet Min.

Yes, I may be one of a few who think this could really help us out. especially if T-Mac gains half of his pre surgery form. Now I would still like the Hawks to get Kwame Brown, unless they are moving one of the core players for a true Center upgrade.

Nice minimum level pick up. Kwame is garbage, would much rather have Jason Collins back.

Collins can't rebound nor defend as good as Kwame can. Collins only gaurds Dwight well..... and I have no Idea why that is!!!! but if we have Kwame we could still have Zaza or Collins on the team.
I do believe this T-mac move won't be the Hawks last though, I hope not. they must get a true center.

Asik and Brewer for Jamal would make it where we only need one of Collins/Kwame and I would prefer old steady Collins over young unrealiable Kwame. Collins could teach Asik the tricks of the trade.

T-mac? HELL YEAH... am i the only one that thinks thats a steal for t-mac... the same guy that scored 13 points in 30 seconds. He's obviously not as good but still... t-mac?

I love it.

T-Mac is still a great playmaker and a decent scorer. His biggest issues were confidence + back to backs last season, but he's a great signing for yall imo

Not bad at all. Cheap and good, I mean decent... it's the best we could do at the position anyway with the money we have to spend. Next on our list ( for the last 10 years) is a Center, then if possible get rid of M. Williams.
GO HAWKS.

Earl Watson is leaning toward signing with the Atlanta Hawks, according to a league source.

Reports say that Earl Watson will be Teagues backup which would be another good veteran minimum pick up

TMac on a Vets Min is a great pick up for you guys. He doesn't have the same athleticism as his prime days but he still has a great feel for the game.
Also last year he excepted his role without any issues. He'll be a good addition.

yeah if we can pry Asik from the bulls we wouldn't need Kwame. Kwame is if we can't get a center in a trade and we have to sign someone with the MLE

T-Mac is a good signing. If he still has some spark he can be a solid offensive bench guy. He also has a little experience as a point (from the Pistons last year) so he could possibly help run the offense with JJ if Teague is resting.

He's always been a tremendous passer because even going back donkey years to his high school days the one player he looked up to and wanted to emulate the most was Penny Hardaway.

It would be scary if he returns to even half himself. He says he is healthy, so if he can put up 15 and help Joe in the backcourt, this would be a great pickup. I don't know how well T-Mac will work with JJ, but I do know he will hit Al Horford up nicely in the post like he did with Yao. I think we'll see some great passes this season.

One thing we need help with is that we sometimes push the ball up the court too quickly and make silly turnovers or make horrible shot selections. I think if Mcgrady controls the pace, we could set up an offense without having to commit so many turnovers!

Did Mcgrady get better at the latter part of the season?

great pick up. TMac can backup the 1,2 and 3. he is a savvy scorer who i don't think will have a problem fitting into the team.

i'm a big fan for Jamal, i wish he could come back, but i'm okay with it, just in case the Hawks are positioning themselves for any possible Horford trade down the line.
