We've reached the point where I honestly believe that people would cheer if we took on Johan Santana and Barry Zito (and the full salaries of both) in trade, simply because it'd show that Rogers wasn't cheap. They definitely ought to be spending more, but I'd rather have quality players than a bloated payroll.

lol i guess it's just frustration on our parts, we're one of the biggest cities in the world and all our teams suck even the arogs well the rock are real good, but they get 0 attention. I'm not expert but idk why they feel this isn't the time to spend...i want to win soo bad and we're pretty close to being a good team but they refuse to budge..feels bad

While thats true, the jays fan support has been far from one of the top in the league. It doesnt matter if you have 10 billion people in a market if your are in the bottom 5 in attendance the previous year it doesnt really help. Plus its not like sportsnet is YES money. Toronto needs to get behind the jays through thick or thin. ATM we are fourtunate to have the team that we do and have it as well run as it is.
