At present we are Chris Paul and Dwight Howard's preferred destination out of all the legitimate trade partners ... we are also supposedly the leader in the Dwight sweepstakes and in the top 3 teams in the Chris Paul sweepstakes ... THANK THE SACRAMENTO QUEENS FRONT OFFICE!!!

The Sacramento Kings could EASILY trade for BOTH Dwight Howard and Chris Paul and have them in queens colours for the opening game of this season.

The Hornets would thank their lucky stars if the Kings would make a simple phone call and offer Tyreke Evans, JJ Hickson, a future #1 pick and $3mil cash for CP3

The Magic would likewise feel like they just won the lottery if the Kings would again, make a simple phone call and offer Demarcus Cousins, the draft rights to Jimmer Ferdette and a future #1 pick for D12

The Kings could then re-sign Marcus Thornton and have a lineup as follows:

PG: CP3/Isaiah
SG: Thornton/Garcia
SF: Salmons/Greene
PF: Thompson/Hayes
C: D12/Whiteside

The above is a killer lineup and a true title contender. The risk would be that CP3 and D12 could refuse to sign an extension with the Kings ... but ... why in the world would they refuse to sign MAX contract extensions that will not only pay them $30+ mil more than any other team can pay them but also allow them to play together?

Thank God the Kings are soooooooo foolish!

Hahahahha, I love the replies ... I had been thinking about this for a while and just had to say something ... I keep reading about all these garbage offers being thrown out for CP3 and D12 and how a team like the Warriors doesn't want to include Curry or the Clipps don't want to include Gordon because they don't know if CP3 will sign an extension, etc ... and all the while the Kings are sitting their with their brains on the floor wondering how best to spend $20mil to just meet the league's minimum salary requirement ... I mean, come on!

Why are you only saying this about the kings? What about the Wolves....what about the Cavs, what about basically every young team in the league. Its simple, CP3 would never in a million year sign an extension in Sacramento. Same reason the Clippers and warriors aren't trading curry or Gordon. Its simple, it's not worth it to trade your young studs for a rental. So actually the "Queens" are pretty smart...they aren't risking ruining their young team on a big time, and i mean big time, gamble on the fact that they could convince CP3 to stay. Truth is we are pretty much very lucky that Paul/Dwight actually want to be here. The superstar on his last year has a lot of leverage...Just ask Melo

why fix something that isn't broken? they have a promising young core who has a lot of upside. and it seems the "Kings" aren't in their panic mode just yet so why bother gambling on Dwight and Paul?
